LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - George Clooney has revealed plans to direct a film adaptation of the book The Monuments Men.
The book tells the non-fictional story of art experts who searched for the Nazis’ collection of stolen artwork in the years following World War II.
"We're working on the screenplay right now," the Oscar-winning actor told E! Online. "I'm really interested in telling the story of how these very unlikely heroes went miles deep into a mine and found all the art and returned it."
Clooney picked up The Chairman's Award on Saturday night at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.
