Universal Eyeing Bridesmaids Sequel - Without Kristen Wiig

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Universal is reportedly considering a Bridesmaids sequel – with or without leading actress Kristen Wiig.
Wiig, who co-wrote Bridesmaids, told The Hollywood Reporter that she has no plans to participate in its sequel.
But it's no surprise that Universal is looking to reboot the comedy; with a budget of $32 million, Bridesmaids grossed $288 million worldwide and propelled the film careers of Wiig and co-star Melissa McCarthy.
Wiig already has three film projects underway: Friends With Kids, costarring Jon Hamm; Imogene, costarring Annette Bening; and The Comedian, directed by Sean Penn and costarring Robert De Niro.
