LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The Voice and Smash are smashes for NBC.
Following its post-Super Bowl debut, the second season of The Voice pulled in an impressive 17.7 million viewers Monday night – more than the most recent episode of American Idol and NBC’s highest-rated regular entertainment series telecast in over four years.
The Steven Spielberg-produced musical Smash drew 11.5 million viewers, making it the highest-rated program in its time slot and the third-highest series debut of the season.
In more positive news for NBC, its Super Bowl XLVI broadcast became the most watched TV program in history Sunday night.
