LOS ANGELES, California (x17online) - Kristen Wiig's days as a Saturday Night Live castmember came to a close as the funnywoman made her final appearance on May 19.
During her last sketch, host Mick Jagger gave Wiig a sendoff during a mock graduation scene.
"Many of you are moving onto college, but I'd like to take a moment to say goodbye to one particular student who is leaving this summer . . .to become a nun," Jagger said while dressed as a teacher. "You've meant quite a lot to us over the last seven years -- she got held back! -- so our music department got together and prepared a song to say goodbye."
After the exchange, cast members including Bill Hader, Jason Sudeikis and Andy Samberg sang and danced around an emotional Wiig. Show creator Lorne Michaels even made an appearance as her final dance partner as She's a Rainbow and Ruby Tuesday played in the background.
The Bridesmaids star was reportedly set to leave SNL after this season. The actress/comedian spent seven years on the hit sketch comedy show.
