Amy Winehouse Arrested

Amy Winehouse AWINEHOUSE0229_08.jpg LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse has been arrested on suspicion of one count of assault. Today London's Metropolitan police confirmed they arrested a 24 year old woman on suspicion of assault, and she is being held at Central London Station, but are not naming her.

According to the Associated Press, Winehouse appeared at a police station earlier this week to answer questions relating to an "alleged incident" in the north London neighborhood of Camden, the Outside Organization said in a statement. Various tabloid newspapers reported that early Wednesday morning Winehouse allegedly hit a man at a local bar and then head-butted another who was trying to hail her a cab.

Amy Winehouse Arrested, Again

Amy Winehouse AWINEHOUSE0229_08.jpg LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The Sun is reporting that Amy Winehouse is currently being questioned by the police on suspicion of drug offenses at a police station in East London. Last January, pictures from a video of Winehouse allegedly smoking crack cocaine were published by the newspaper.

Scotland Yard said the questioning has to do with a video they received of the troubled singer. Scotland Yard released the following statement to X17:

"Around 1pm today a 24-year-old women from the Camden area attended a London police station by arrangement and was arrested in connection with the alleged possession of a controlled drug. She remains in custody."

Amy Winehouse Released After Being Questioned for Nine Hours

Amy Winehouse MTV060307_08.jpg LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The Times Online UK reports that troubled singer Amy Winehouse, 24, was released from police custody after being arrested yesterday on suspicion of drug offenses.

The Grammy winning singer was held and questioned by police for over nine hours yesterday after she handed herself in at an East London police station. Scotland Yard said that the arrest was in connection with a video from January that appeared to show Winehouse smoking crack cocaine. She was also allegedly shown snorting Ecstasy and cocaine and admitting to having taken six Valium. The footage was obtained by The Sun and stills from the video were published in the newspaper. Winehouse has not been charged.

Scotland Yard released the following statement yesterday: "Around 1pm today a 24-year-old woman from the Camden area attended a London police station by arrangement and was arrested in connection with the alleged possession of a controlled drug. She remains in custody." Today a spokeswoman said today that the 24-year-old woman, based in Camden, north London, was released on bail until later this month pending further inquiries.

Amy Winehouse Hospitalized

Winehouse's rep tells the magazine, "Amy was at home this afternoon when she briefly fainted. Fortunately, her manager's assistant was there to stop her falling. She quickly recovered and her father Mitch took her to hospital as a precaution. Doctors are unsure of the cause of the incident and Amy is currently undergoing tests." Winehouse "may be kept in [the hospital] overnight for observation," the rep added.

Amy Winehouse's Husband Gets 27 Months In Jail

Amy Winehouse AWINEHOUSE090307_08_X17.jpg LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Amy Winehouse's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil was sentenced to 27 months in jail at London's Snaresbrook Crown Court today for assaulting a pub landlord and then attempting to pervert justice, according to NME.com.

Fielder-Civil and his friend Michael Brown assaulted James King at the MacBeth pub in east London in June of 2006. Prosecutor Jocelyn Ledwood told the court King suffered a broken nose and cheek-bone and after the assault, Fielder-Civil, Brown and two other men attempted to bribe him to keep quiet.

According to Sky News, Winehouse was not present at the sentencing. Fielder-Civil has been in Pentonville Prison for the past nine months, and he plead guilty to the offenses last month.

Amy Winehouse Released From The Hospital

According to The Sun, Winehouse was in good spirits after a “comfortable night,” and her father Mitch told the newspaper his daughter was at home resting with him. He added, "Amy's responded well to treatment. I must admit, it was very frightening last night, seeing her in that state. But she is with good friends, not hangers-on. The doctors say it was an adverse reaction to prescription drugs or mixing them up. They are not sure exactly what happened and they have done tests on her. We are waiting for the results of the toxicology report later today."

Amy Winehouse Hospitalized

Amy Winehouse Winehouse200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Troubled British singer Amy Winehouse has been hospitalized with a severe chest infection, The Sun is reporting.

Winehouse is reportedly suffering from the early stages of emphysema and the hospital stay was precautionary.

Representatives for the singer, who has had a very public battle with drug and alcohol abuse, deny Winehouse's hospitalization was drug related.

"Amy is in hospital being checked out for a chest infection. She is not back in rehab. She should be fine and is expected to return home soon,” a spokesperson for the singer said.

Winehouse Dealers Arrested

A spokesperson for the troubled singer says Winehouse is "doing fine."

Meantime, a British couple pleaded guilty Friday to supplying drugs to a number of celebrities, most notably Winehouse, and then selling a video of the Grammy-winning singer smoking crack to a U.K. tabloid.

Johnny Blagrove, 34, and Cara Burton, 22, admitted to providing cocaine and Ecstasy to the 25-year-old Grammy winner and then secretly filming her getting high and selling the footage to The Sun. The newspaper published images of the "Rehab" star using drugs in January.

The video sparked a police raid on the pair's east London home. There, investigators turned up a purported "hit list" of stars, including the Winehouse, for whom they regularly furnished the illicit substances.

Authorities decided against pressing charges against Winehouse.

“It’s over," Amy told the paper. " There’s no way back for us now. It was never going to last. We were only together for Sex. I fancied him like mad, like no one else I’ve ever known. But it’s not enough, is it?”

Meantime, a British Court has rejected Blake's appeal of his sentence for beating up a pub manager and then attempting to bribe him to keep quiet.

Blake spent 9 months in jail before transferring to a drug rehab facility.

According to the paper, Winehouse, 25, was rushed to a London hospital after collapsing and having a seizure.

On Monday it was announced that the "Rehab" singer was separating from her husband Blake Fielder Civil who is currently in treatment for drug and alcohol addiction.

Amy Winehouse Targeted by Terrorists

Amy Winehouse WinehouseTerror200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Reports in the UK say that Amy Winehouse is a "terror target" for extremists who plan to attack high profile British's Jews.

Also named in the threat was Samantha Ronson's brother, music producer Mark Ronson.

The threats, published online, are reportedly in response to the on going conflict in Gaza.

British anti-terror expert Glen Jenvey tells the UK's The Sun that he believes there could be a deadly backlash against Jews.

"The Ummah website has been used by extremists," Jenvey said. "Those listed should treat it very seriously. Expect a hate campaign and intimidation by 20 or 30 thugs."

Winehouse and Ronson haven't commented on the reported threats.

Amy Winehouse Hands Over Business Affairs To Father

The move comes as the soulful singer continues to battle drug addiction. Under the plan, the 25-year-old will not be allowed to spend her own money without her parent's approval.

“Everyone is pleased because it means Amy is listening to good advice,” a source told the paper.

“It’s still her money and nobody else can touch it. But this stops her doing anything stupid. And it is evidence that Amy is really turning her life around.”

Amy Winehouse Charged With Assault

According to authorities, at the "End Of Summer Ball" in Berkeley Square last fall, Sherene Flash asked Amy for a photo, to which she claimed the singer agreed.

However, when Flash asked if her friend could be in the picture, Amy allegedly punched her in the eye and ran off, crying, "Life can’t go on. I can’t do this any more."

According to CNN, a spokesman for the troubled singer released the following statement:

"Voluntarily attended a police station in London yesterday morning. She was questioned by appointment in relation to an accusation made after the Berkeley Ball last year. She was charged with common assault and will attend a court hearing in the coming weeks."

Winehouse Will Be A No Show at Coachella

Winehouse Pleads Not Guilty To Assault Charges

The troubled singer, who's been trying to ditch a drug habit in the Caribbean for the last couple of months, showed up at the London courtroom to enter the plea.

She's accused of attacking a fan who tried to take her picture at a charity event.

Winehouse was ordered to stand trial in July.

Amy Winehouse Rushed To Hospital

While the troubled singer has apparently kicked her drug habit, her addiction has now switched to alcohol.

The latest scare came last Friday after a night of drinking with friends near her current home on the island of St. Lucia.

Winehouse was released from the hospital later that night.

MTV Airing Amy Winehouse Tribute Concert

AmyWinehouse072611_230.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - MTV will honor the late Amy Winehouse with a tribute concert.

The network has announced plans to re-air a performance she taped in 2007 at MTV's Time Square studios, described as "an intimate performance from the singer."

Winehouse and her backing band, The Dap-Kings, perform many of her future hits, including "Rehab," "Back to Black" and "You Know I'm No Good." Also airing is a collaboration between the singer and rapper Mos Def on the song "Love Is a Losing Game."

Winehouse was found dead in her North London home Saturday, July 23. Her exact cause of death has not been determined at this time.

The concert will air at 6:30 p.m ET/PT on MTV Wednesday.

Amy Winehouse Album To Be Released In December

Lioness: Hidden Treasures was produced by Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi and contains 12 unreleased tracks from the late singer, including originals, covers, and alternative versions of her preexisting tracks.

The album will hit shelves on December 5.

Amy Winehouse Wrote Full Album Prior To Death

Salaam Remi, a music producer who worked on Winehouse’s first two albums, said that the late singer recorded only two of the tracks, which will appear on her upcoming compilation album Lioness: HiddenTreasures.

Remi noted that Winehouse was not rushing to release the album, as she first intended to release an album with a jazz “supergroup.”

The Salaam Remi-produced Lioness: HiddenTreasures will hit shelves Dec. 5.

Amy Winehouse Dress Auctioned Off For £43K

LONDON, UK (X17online) - A polka dot chiffon dress worn by Amy Winehouse on her Back to Black album cover has been sold at a London auction for more than £43,200.

The winning bid was made by fashion museum Museo de la Moda in Santiago, Chile, and all proceeds will go toward the Amy Winehouse Foundation.

The foundation, created in memory of Winehouse, provides “help, support or care for young people, especially those who are in need by reason of ill health, disability, financial disadvantage or addiction,” according to its website.

“Amy would be so proud that her name is making a difference to young lives and especially that her music is directly making life better for vulnerable young people,” said the late singer’s father, Mitch Winehouse.

Amy Winehouse's Posthumous Album Tops U.K. Charts

winehouseposthumous200.jpgLONDON, UK (X17online ) - Amy Winehouse’s posthumous album Lioness: Hidden Treasures has debuted at No. 1 on the U.K. charts.

A portion of the profits from album sales will be donated toward various charities on behalf of the Amy Winehouse Foundation.

"Just been told. Amy at number 1. 140,000 sold = £140,000 to foundation in one day. Well done baby,” the late singer’s father, Mitch Winehouse, tweeted on Tuesday.

Lioness: Hidden Treasures is a compilation of unreleased tracks and covers.
