Additionally, Follieri was arrested on April 3 for writing a bad check, a charge which was later dropped.

Hathaway broke off her relationship with Follieri just one week ago, and though this may have been a tough week for the actress, her movie, Get Smart did take the number one spot at the box office this past weekend.

Anne Hathaway AHatheway0224.jpg LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Anne Hathaway's ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri, 29, appeared in a Manhattan federal court yesterday to face twelve counts of wire fraud conspiracy and money laundering, and Judge Henry B. Pitman set his bail at $21 million, according to Us Weekly.

At court, Follieri appeared angry, interrupted his attorney and when a prosecutor accused him of owing various debts, he yelled, "We paid that!" according to the Associated Press. After his court appearance, Follieri suffered “some sort of attack,” according to his lawyer, and was taken to a hospital.

Prosecutor Reed Michael Brodsky stated, "In short, your honor, he is a con man, and he was able to defraud a lot of people out of a lot of money over a long period of time." The prosecutor also claimed Follieri tested positive for opiates during a routine drug test shortly after his arrest Tuesday morning. Follieri could face life in prison if convicted of all twelve counts.

James Franco And Anne Hathaway Say There Will Be No Ricky Gervais-Like Moments At Oscars

oscarsannejames.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Academy Awards producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer chose Anne Hathaway and James Franco to host the show this year because they wanted young, energetic actors who could pull it off.

But on Feb. 27, don't expect Franco and Hathaway to pull any Ricky Gervais-like stunts. When asked if Hathaway would insert a few snide comments, she told THR:

"I can guarantee that if you’re looking for someone to call people out, we’re not your hosts. I think that humor is really difficult to pull off, and I’m not particularly adept at it. I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it. Also, I don’t mean to sound overly serious, but I am the youngest host in history and I have no business being cynical or calling anyone out. I certainly haven’t earned the right to do that."

We cant wait to see the pair host the Oscars Feb. 27. We bet they'll be a refreshing change.

Sacha Baron Cohen To Sing Live In Les Miserables

sashacohenlesmis200.jpgLONDON, UK (X17online) - Sacha Baron Cohen’s next role is no joke.

Cast as Monsieur Thenardier in the film adaptation of the musical Les Miserables, Cohen and fellow cast members Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, and Russell Crowe are expected to record their songs live – rather than lip sync – in front of the cameras.

"Unlike most film musicals, the cast will record their vocals live on camera rather than go into a studio first then mime on film to the pre-recorded vocal,” a source told The Sun. "It's going to be hard work for Sacha and the rest of the cast. First they have to learn the complex songs, then they'll have to get it right on set in front of the other stars and crew."

The Tom Hooper-directed flick will begin filming in January 2012.
