LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - According to The Hollywood Reporter, High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale is in talks with United Artists to star in a remake of the 1989 film Teen Witch.

The 22 year old actress is also in negotiations with FremantleMedia North America for a one-year first-look producing deal where she would be executive producing an untitled show based on her life for Disney Channel. The show would be geared towards the High School Musical tween crowd with whom Tisdale has a large fan base.

Tisdale is currently in Utah shooting High School Musical 3, which will be released later this year, and she is also working on her second CD.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Ashley Tisdale tells MTV News, it may be time to graduate from her high school musical career.

Tisdale has appeared in all 3 of Disney's enormously successful "High School Musical" films, but isn't sure she'll be returning to the role that has made her famous.

"We don't really know anything about [the planned fourth film] actually," she said. "It's flattering to leave the door open for a character, so that's really awesome.

"I'm just kind of looking forward to other projects as well," she continued. "It's something that we've always loved to do, but I have a film coming out in January that is completely opposite, and [we're looking forward to] growing in our careers and looking ahead."

Tisdale's first role after High School Musical is in the comedy "They Came From Upstairs."

"It's an action comedy, and I get to have my first action scene," she told MTV News. "It was a lot of fun, and I want to do more action scenes. It was very exciting.
