LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Actor and architecture enthusiast Brad Pitt will team up with Zabeel Properties and the Los Angeles-based architecture firm GRAFT to help design a new five star hotel in Dubai.

In a statement on Zabeel Properties’ web site, Pitt said:

“Whilst acting is my career, architecture is my passion. Selecting this development as my first major construction project has been a simple decision. It will underpin not only my values for environmentally-friendly architecture, but also embrace my career in entertainment.

“We will be unveiling precise plans in the next few months, but you can expect something that is not only stunning to look at, but will also be an incredible attraction to visit or stay it."

Robert Norton, CEO of Zabeel Properties also said on the web site:

"Our master plan and design concept will be world-leading and we're delighted to be collaborating with Brad Pitt and the team at GRAFT, which is recognized for its innovative building design."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Brad Pitt was spotted spending nearly $350,000 at an art fair in Switzerland yesterday, the day before Angelina Jolie's 33rd birthday.

Us Weekly reports that Pitt was chauffeured in a BMW to Switzerland's Art Basel fair, where he spent over two hours shopping. He purchased two bronze chairs designed by Max Lamb, which cost $25,000 a piece, according to a fair attendee. Pitt also also bought a foam and fiberglass Family Lamp as well as a $293,000 table.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have donated $1 million for educational aid to children affected by the Iraq war, according to Reuters.

The Jolie-Pitt Foundation has given $500,000 to three groups in Iraq which will provide aid including basic necessities, supplies and books for about 5,700 children, and aid will also go to refugee kids and school rehabilitation programs.

The foundation also gave $500,000 to help children in the United States who have lost a parent in the war, or who are separated from a parent stationed in Iraq, said the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, on which Jolie serves as a co-chair.

Jolie is a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and Pitt has helped raise awareness for Darfur and was involved in a program to help build homes for survivors of Hurricane Katrina. The couple has donated millions of dollars to charity over the past few years.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Quentin Tarantino is in talks with Brad Pitt to star in his latest project, Inglorious Bastards, which will be produced by Harvey Weinstein and Lawrence Bender. The film has been sent out to several studios including Universal, Warner Bros, Paramount, and Sony, accordng to Deadline Hollywood Daily.

Inglorious Bastards pays homage to the 1978 Italian film Quel Maledetto Treno Blindato, (which was released in the U.S. under the title Inglorious Bastards) and focuses on group of soldiers who are about to be executed, but are able to turn around their fate after a series of unforeseen incidents.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Angelina Jolie gave birth to twins yesterday at Fondation Lanval Hospital in Nice, France. A boy, which Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt name Knox Leon, weighed in at just over 5 lbs. and a girl, Vivienne Marcheline, also 5 lbs., were delivered via Cesarean and mother and babies are said to be doing well.

The Oscar winner, 33, has been at the hospital for more than two weeks, awaiting the arrival of the twins. Pitt has been seen visiting Jolie almost every day since then, many times with at least one of the couple's other four children - Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh.

A source inside the hospital has told X17online that the C-section was originally planned for Monday but because of Jolie's weak condition, her doctor, Michel Sussmann, decided to go ahead with the delivery two days earlier than planned.

The births have become an event for the town of Nice, which Mayor Christian Estrosi arriving at the hospital himself to sign the birth certificates and make a statement to the public and the media outside of Lanval: "I congratulate the happy parents, the most famous couple in the world, who have chosen our city for this happy event ... The newborns are, history will not forget it, real Nicois, citizens of Nice."

The first photos of the babies are said to have been sold to an unnamed U.S. magazine for $11 million that the Jolie and Pitt will donate to charity.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Residents in Nice protested this evening outside Lenval Hospital where Angelina Jolie's twins were born on Saturday (July 12), speaking out against what they say is the mayor's undue attention to a celebrity birth over the murder of a local youth which, they say, received little attention from officials in the southern French city.

The local family, originally from Tunisia, told X17 video cameras they demand justice for their 22 year -old son who was stabbed. The crowd chanted "We want justice!" A protester added that city officials have not paid attention to the boy's murder and that they have not been allowed to return his body to Tunisia. The man said Nice's mayor, Christian Estrosi, has been "celebrating the birth of the twins with Brad Pitt, meanwhile there has been no murder investigation and the killer [of the 22 year-old boy] is still running free in the city."

Protesters became enraged and some even tried to enter the hospital. Anti-riot police were brought in and Jolie's partner and the father of the twins, Brad Pitt, hired three extra bodyguards to secure the hospital.

The protest perhaps signifies a larger issue in France with immigrants, particularly those from north Africa, feeling they receive little attention or respect from the French government. Riots in March 2006 on the outskirts of Paris drew worldwide attention when young people burned cars in reaction to new labor laws that kept many immigrant students our of the French workplace. One protester today in Nice told X17, "France is our country; we respect French people; we love France; but when we're treated as if we're worthless, we love no one anymore."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt went with costly in vitro fertilization to conceive twins Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, according to Us Weekly. A source told the magazine, "They conceived through in vitro fertilization. They both desperately wanted more babies soon." The source added that the couple chose in vitro so Jolie "wouldn't have to deal with the stress of trying to get pregnant."

In addition to the "stress" of getting pregnant, the couple may have had difficulty conceiving in the first place. Pitt is 44 years old, and the chance of someone having fraternal twins at Angelina's age (33) without fertility treatments is under 1 percent, but with in vitro, the chances shoot up to 25 percent.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have sold the first pictures of their newborn twins to Hello! magazine for a staggering $15 million. According to The Daily Mail, the magazine outbid rival publication OK! Magazine for the rights to the exclusive pictures of Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt, and the photographs of the twins will be the most expensive celebrity baby pictures ever.

Shortly after Jolie and Pitt's first biological child, Shiloh was born in 2006, the couple sold her pictures to Hello! for $4 million and donated the money to charity. The domestic rights to the photos will go to People magazine, which also published the first images of Shiloh in 2006.

A magazine insider said: "This is one of the publishing sensations of the decade - Brad and Angelina are the dream couple of the glossy magazine world and we expect to triple our circulation because of the public's fascination and interest in the couple and their children."

The magazines will hit newstands on Monday, and People will debut the cover photo online on August 3 at 7 p.m. ET.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Brad Pitt has officially signed on to star in Quentin Tarantino's latest project, Inglorious Bastards, according to Variety.

Inglorious Bastards pays homage to the 1978 Italian film Quel Maledetto Treno Blindato, (which was released in the U.S. under the title Inglorious Bastards) that follows a group of WWII soldiers who are about to be executed, but are able to turn around their fate after a series of unforeseen incidents. Most of the film's dialogue is French or German, and subtitles will be used, but Pitt will speak English for his role as Aldo Raine, an American soldier who leads a group of eight Jewish-American soldiers against the Nazis.

Production is slated to begin on October 13 in Germany, and Tarantino hopes to complete the film in time for next year's Cannes Film Festival. Producer Lawrence Bender said casting should be complete in about a week or two, and Simon Pegg, David Krumholtz and B.J. Novak are currently in talks to join the project. Pegg would play a British lieutenant, while Krumholtz and Novak would play Pitt's subordinates, and Eli Roth has signed on to play Sargeant Donnie Donowitz.

Back in 2005, Pitt and Jolie appeared in the feature "Domestic Bliss" for the July 2005 issue, which showed the two in a very intimate series of portraits, providing confirmation that they were in fact lovers.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Last night, Brad Pitt left Toronto and rushed home to France to be with his family. In Touch Weekly reports that Pitt may have returned home early to be with partner Angelina Jolie, as she may be suffering from postpartum depression.

An inside source for the magazine reveals that since the birth of her twins, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, Jolie "has been staying in bed most of the time. All she does is nap. She has little or no appetite and has to force herself to remember to eat because she is still breast-feeding.” Additionally, her "depression" and "mood swings" have begun to affect the family.

“She cries at the drop of a hat and laughs at inappropriate times. Her mood swings have been hard on the entire family.” Apparently, it's also affecting her relationship with Pitt - the two reportedly been fighting frequently, and Pitt's recent trips away from France without Jolie are possible proof. The source continues, "[Jolie] is fed up and wishes he’d stick around more." and the day before Pitt left for Venice, “[Jolie] burst into tears and told [Pitt], ‘I can’t do this anymore.’”

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The Coen brother's latest film, Burn After Reading took the number one spot at the box office, earning an estimated $19.4 million in it's opening weekend. Brad Pitt, George Clooney, John Malkovich and Oscar-winners Frances McDormand and Tilda Swinton star in the dark comedy about a group of individuals who become involved after obtaining secret CIA information.

Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys snagged the number two spot with $18 million, while the De Niro and Pacino thriller Righteous Kill took the number three spot with $16.5 million.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are making a $2 million donation to the Global Heath Committee to create a center for the treatment of AIDS in Ethiopia.

According to Access Hollywood, the money from the Jolie-Pitt Foundation will also go toward establishing a program to help treat drug-resistant tuberculosis in children and adults.

The Oscar winning actress told Access, “Our goal is to transfer the success we have had in Cambodia to Ethiopia where people are needlessly dying of tuberculosis, a curable disease, and HIV/AIDS, a treatable disease.”

The center will be an expansion of the Cambodian Health Committee which has combated AIDS and tuberculosis in Cambodia since its foundation in 1994. The famous couple has also donated, through their charity, to that organization in their son Maddox's native country.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Brad Pitt is donating $100,000 to help defeat California Proposition 8, a November ballot initiative that would eliminate same-sex couples' right to marry, the "LA Times" reported Wednesday.

"Because no one has the right to deny another their life, even though they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn't harm another and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8," the actor said in a statement.

Pitt's donation is largest single contribution thus far to the anti-Prop. 8 campaign by a celebrity.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Brad Pitt spent part of his first full day in Germany at a Doctor's office, according to "Star" Magazine.
Pitt reportedly spent 30 mins with an orthopedic surgeon, near the actor's new temporary home in the Charlottenburg district following a meeting with director Quentin Tarantino.
Pitt reportedly had x-rays taken, but it's unclear what medical condition the actor may be suffering from. A spokesperson for the doctor's office refused to comment on the visit, citing patient confidentiality.
Brad, his wife Angelina Jolie, and their six children have moved to Germany for at least the next three months while he works on a film titled, "Inglorious Bastards."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) -Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their brood touched down in New York City Thursday morning, where Angie is set to walk the red carpet this weekend for the premiere of her upcoming drama, "Changeling."

This the first time the actress has been in the U.S. since giving birth in July to the couple's twins in the south of France.

The Jolie-Pitt clan recently set up temporary residence at the Palais Parkschloss villa in
Berlin while Pitt works on Quentin Tarantino's war epic, "Inglorious Bastards."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - A private plane carrying Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their six children touched down in Nice, France early Wednesday morning.

The couple and their children arrived from New Orleans, where Brad's "Make it Right" foundation is working to build as many as 150 homes in the historic city's hurricane devastated 9th Ward. Yesterday, Brad along with Angelina and sons Pax and Maddox toured several of the newly built homes and met with residents. Despite a light rain, the children were able to try out a new playground and amused their parents as the boys had an impromptu sword fight with their umbrellas.

The two-day trip to New Orleans, followed a trip to New York where Angelina attended the red carpet premiere of her new film "Changeling." It was the first public appearance in the US for Angelina since giving birth to twins Vivienne and Knox, earlier this summer. At the premiere Angelina showed off two new tattoos marking the longitude and latitude of the locations of Vivienne and Knox's birth. She has 4 identical tattoos marking the locations of her other children's births. But it wasn't all work, as Angelina found time to take daughters Zahara and Shilo to an art gallery.

The Jolie-Pitts round-the-world week began in Germany, where Brad is working on the film "Inglorious Bastards" for director Quentin Tarantino. While in German, the family has taken up residence at Palais Schlosspark outside Berlin. Media reports say the family's new home is nearly 12 thousand square meters where they are attended to by a staff of 14.

It's not clear how long the family will be in France. The couple had been living at Chateu Miraval near Nice during Angelina's pregnancy.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Adoption advocate Angelina Jolie says she never thought she would give birth, but that her partner Brad Pitt helped her change her views.

"I think one of the life changing things that he did, one of many, is that I was absolutely never going to get pregnant. I never felt that it was the right thing to do," Jolie, 33, says in November's W, which features photos taken by Pitt of her breast feeding. "Now I wouldn't trade that experience for the world. It taught me a lot about life, just the process of it, and now we have three other beautiful children that wouldn't otherwise be here."

The hollywood couple have six children, three adopted from impoverished countries and three biological children.

Jolie gave birth to twins, Vivienne and Knox in July, two years after the couple's daughter Shiloh was born. In an excerpt of the interview posted by Entertainment Tonight, Jolie describes newborn Knox as "very chill" and adds he "loves music" like his father. While Vivienne is described as a "studier" and "more demanding."

She goes on to say that she isn't worried about the effects pregnancy has taken on her body. "I'm with a man who's evolved enough to look at my body and see it as more beautiful because of the journey it has taken and what it has created," Jolie says."He truly sees it that way. So I genuinely feel sexier."

Jolie also says that her relationship with Pitt has changed her life in other ways. "I do think that I'm in a good partnership now.. I think it just needed to be the right man."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Louisiana taxpayers are subsidizing the new Brad Pitt movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" with more than $27 million dollars in tax credits, according to the New York Times.

The news from Louisiana comes at a time when states are struggling financially and many are questioning the benefits of giving filmmakers such generous subsidies.

Under the bayou state's incentive program, who's rules have recently been tightened to ensure more of the money stays in the state, studios could recover portions of star salaries and other expenses related to the production. And some state officials say the money is well spent.

“All areas of the state have prospered as a result; everyone sees it,” said Sherri McConnell, director of Louisiana’s Office of Entertainment Industry Development. (Ms. McConnell said she did not expect to have a detailed picture of economic impact until the completion of a planned study, early next year.)

Others are not so sure. “There’s no way you can say this makes money for the public” treasury, said Greg Albrecht, chief economist for Louisiana’s legislative fiscal office.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - W Magazine is publishing a series of intimate portraits capturing a week in the life of Angelina Jolie. The black and white images were photographed by Jolie's partner, Brad Pitt.

The idea of having Pitt take the photographs reportedly came from legendary fashion photographer Bruce Weber. He reportedly told the editorial staff of W magazine that the best pictures of Elizabeth Taylor were those taken by her husband Mike Todd.

"I was surprised that Brad accepted the challenge," says W Magazine's creative director Dennis Freedman of Pitt's enthusiastic response.

"Last time we collaborated, I was struck by his sensitivity to the subtleties of photography. I knew that he possessed a highly tuned critical eye and would be very demanding of himself. Still, I wasn't prepared for the beauty and intimacy of the images he made of Angelina and the children."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Brad Pitt's Plan B productions will bring the classic poem "The Odyssey" to the big screen, Variety reports.

The script follows true to the poem by Homer with one exception, it is set in space.

It's not clear if Pitt plans to star in the film. George Miller who helmed "Troy" has signed on to direct.

Pitt will next be seen in the David Fincher-directed "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and the Terrence Malick-directed "Tree of Life." He just began shooting the Quentin Tarantino-directed "Inglourious Basterds."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Brad Pitt will appear on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" November 18th to promote his new film "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."

Pitt and Winfrey reportedly talked about attending the victory rally for President-Elect Obama at Chicago's Grant Park the night before.

"I would have invited you out with me to the rally last night, but I was down with the people and I didn't think you would want to be," Oprah joked.

"I took the tram, shoulder to shoulder," Pitt replied referring to his taking Chicago CTA public transportation to the event.

Winfrey also talked with Pitt about raising six children with his partner, Angelina Jolie.

Asked if the pair were planning on adding to their brood, Pitt responded, "Probably."

"[Parenthood] is the the greatest endeavor I've ever taken on," Pitt said. "Why stop now?"

Pitt said that daughter Shiloh was going through a phase where she will only respond to the names John and Peter. And revealed that son Pax once rebelled by peeing on the "time out" chair.

"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" opens in theaters on Christmas day.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Brad Pitt was shoved and denied entry into a screening of his new movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" by a security guard who failed to recognize the actor.

Dressed in a sport coat, jeans and a brown fedora with a mustache that perhaps made his familiar face unrecognizable, Pitt walked deliberately towards the doors of Mann's Bruin Theater in Westwood. That's when the security guard grabbed Pitt. The actor and the security guard struggled with Pitt yelling, "What are you doing, man?" And "Don't you know its me?"

A visibly annoyed Pitt then began to leave the theater, as the security guard - who by this point had apparently realized his mistake - apologized and pleaded with the actor to return.

Brad did return to theater, but stayed just 15 minutes before leaving the theater through a back door.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - While they've publicly stated they won't get married until "everyone" is legally allowed to do so, Brad Pitt told NBC's Ann Curry he and partner Angelina Jolie may tie the know if their children ask them to do so.

"If we feel it's important to our kids, we'll do so," Pitt said in an interview broadcast Tuesday morning.

He also talked, albeit reluctantly, about his six kids, saying, "I'm really proud of this family. I look at my sons and my daughters, and one's from Vietnam and one's from Cambodia and one's from Ethiopia, and…they're all brothers and sisters. And they're fighting, they're laughing, they're going into hysterics and staying up late, and they're messing with their parents, and they're driving me crazy and I'm really proud."

Curry asked him why he’s reluctant to talk about Jolie and his children.

“It just gets cheapened somehow, as it goes through the filters in the airwaves,” Pitt explained. “And some things you just want to keep close.”

This is the second donation the Jolie-Pitt Foundation has made to the charity that acts as an advocate for vulnerable children in the developing world.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their globe-crossing brood have settled in France for the holidays, according to Hello magazine via MTV.UK.

“I've been dragging them all from continent to continent lately, so we're going to have to give them a break soon. For the long term, right now, we're choosing France," Pitt said. "It's good living there, a really nice way of life.”

The Jolie-Pitts have been all over the world this year - from their homes in Los Angeles and New Orleans to a castle in Germany, where Brad was filming "Inglourious Basterds" - but right now, France is where they want to be.

“It's a place where the kids can run free and not be hassled – we have a good relationship with the locals, and it's a good base for the family," Brad says.

So how will the famous family be celebrating the holidays?

“We do exchange gifts, although we don’t feel any pressure to make them big or expensive gifts,” Brad says.

In fact, many of the gifts are homemade.

“The rule is that everyone’s got to make something for someone else, you got to put time into it,” Brad said. “Then, when they give to each other, it’s really sweet.”

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Brad Pitt wants to make sure the world knows Angelina Jolie isn't responsible for breaking up his marriage to Jennifer Aniston.

While he understands Jen's "uncool" response to Angelina's admission that she and Brad fell in love on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Brad tells W magazine - there's more to the story.

"What people don't understand is that we filmed [Mr. & Mrs. Smith] for a year. We were still filming after Jen and I split up," Brad said.

"Even then it doesn't mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn't. I'm very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful," Pitt says.

Brad goes on to deny there is any hostility now with Jen.

"Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart. I think she got dragged into that one, and then there's a second round to all that Angie versus Jen. It's so created," he claims.

And despite what you might think, Brad says he and Jen remain close.

"We still check in with each other. She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don't see how there cannot be [that]."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie say they may be moving out of the US to raise their six children abroad, MSNBC reports.

The couple is apparently moving forward with the plan and are getting ready to put their Malibu estate on the market. (Robert Downey Jr. is reportedly considering the property)

At the Newsweek Oscar roundtable Pitt blamed the relentless media attention on his family as the reason for the move.

“The publicity machine is out of control. It's everything we didn't sign up for,” Pitt told Newsweek.

“There's this whole other entity that you get sucked into. You have to go and sell your wares. It's something I never made my peace with. Somehow you're not supporting your film if you don't get on a show and talk about your personal life. It has nothing to do with why I do this.”

The Jolie-Pitts are reportedly looking to settle in France, home to strict anti-paparazzi laws.

But first, the family has rented a large estate on Long Island Sound while Jolie film's "Salt" for the next few months.

The Hollywood golden couple were in Japan for the premiere of Pitt's "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."

An X17online reporter spotted Brad at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. A spy inside says the family asked room service to bring up several Nintendo Wii's to their 11th floor suite, before heading out to In-N-Out Burger.

Later, Brad and his boys were driven in a black SUV over to the MGM, where they got a private visit with the hotel's famous lions.

The rest of the family is reportedly in New York.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - As Jennifer Aniston took the stage as a presenter at Sunday night's 81st annual Academy Awards, television cameras moved in tight on her ex-husband Brad Pitt and his new partner Angelina Jolie.

While Aniston initially looked nervous on stage, she quickly gained her composure with co-presenter Jack Black.

With Aniston on stage, Cameras cut to Jolie and Pitt who were seated just several feet away in the front row. Jolie smiled warmly as Aniston made her presentation and laughed at the appropriate times.

Many had speculated at what would transpire if Aniston, who blames Jolie for the break up of her marriage to Pitt, came face-to-face with the couple at the ceremony.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Natalie Portman and Brad Pitt have been set to star in a movie based on the newly released book "Important Artifacts and Personal Property From the Collection of Lenore Doolan and Harold Morris, Including Books, Street Fashion and Jewelry," Variety reports.

Portman reportedly suggested Pitt's Plan B productions buy the book to make into a movie for the pair to star in.

"Artifacts" is a novel in the form of an auction catalogue with entries and photographs detailing a four year relationship between a 40-ish photographer and a food writer in her twenties.

Paramount will co-produce the film.

Pitt will next be seen on screen in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds," while Portman's next project is Jim Sheridan's "Brothers."

Cannes, France (X17online) - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie arrived in Cannes yesterday for the premiere of Pitt's new film "Inglourious Basterds."

Last night the couple dined with about 60 members of the film's cast and crew at Michaelangelo restaurant in Cap D'Antibes.

Fellow cast mates Diane Kruger and Emile Hirsch, along with director Quentin Tarantino were at the dinner. "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson also joined the group.

According to the restaurant's owner the group dined on pasta with crayfish and garlic sausage, spaghetti with clams and ravioli with truffles.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie announced they are donating $1 million to a hospital in Pitt's hometown of Springfield, Missouri.

Pitt's brother Doug announced the donation this weekend to the St. John's Hospital. The hospital's cancer treatment center will be renamed the Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center to honor Brad's mom.

The completed hospital will be affiliated with St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, of whom Jennifer Ansiton is a long time patron.

The hospital is matching the million dollar donation for the center's expansion.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Just days before production was scheduled to begin, Columbia Pictures has pulled the plug on Steven Soderbergh's baseball drama "Moneyball" starring Brad Pitt.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a move like this is "extremely rare," but sources reveal that Columbia's co-chairman Amy Pascal "wasn't comfortable with the script," which had been altered quite a bit since the movie had been given the green light.

Soderbergh wrote the most recent version of the screenplay, which is an adaptation of Michael Lewis' book about the Oakland Athletics and their GM Billy Beane, who assembled a rival baseball club despite a payroll much lower than most other teams.

Soderbergh shot interviews with real baseball figures, which were going to be interspersed in the film, and some insiders believe that Pascal (who had not seen the interviews) Pascal was "leery" about this approach, fearing the film "lacked emotion."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - We're they just picking up a quick for the kids or was something else behind Angelina and Brad's recent trip to McDonald's?

Brad drove and Angelina sat in the passenger seat of the family's black Suburban, while their army of children all sat in the back of the monstrous SUV.

The family waited in the line for about five minutes, and their bodyguards blocked the drive through to prevent anyone from coming near the Jolie-Pitt gang.

A witness tell X17online exclusively, "It seemed like a normal family outing for them. Brad and Angie didn't try to hide from the cameras, and even though they attracted a lot of attention, they didn't seem to care."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - For the second time in as many weeks, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been spotted taking their kids to McDonald's.

Like last time, the Jolie-Pitts used the drive-thru at the golden arches in Hollywood. A witness at the scene tells X17online the family ordered Happy Meals for the kids, while Brad enjoyed a McCafe iced coffee. The kids are apparently not allowed to drink soda, since 3 bottles of water were ordered with the Happy Meals.

Is this the family's new Sunday ritual? Or perhaps like many other working families it's an easy and inexpensive way to keep the kids happy.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Are Brad and Angelina headed for divorce? While nobody is saying the marriage is over yet, there are signs of trouble.

Angelina and Brad attended the SKYY Vodka-sponsered Inglourious Basterds Premiere after part at the Modrian hotel. While the couple arrived together, according to witnesses they barely spoke to each other during the event.

Brad was seen in deep discussion with his Manager, while a more carefree Angelina worked the room.

Jolie was spotted chatting up actor Eli Roth and laughing with a couple of girlfriends. Witnesses say Angelina appeared to be in a great mood, despite the fact that she and Brad didn't seem to be speaking.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Would Brad Pitt make a good politician? Some people in New Orleans think so.

In the city where Brad's "Make It Right" foundation is building homes in the devastated lower 9th ward, some people are suggesting Brad should run for mayor of the Big Easy.

T-shirts have even been printed with Brad's face and a "Brad Pitt for Mayor" slogan.

However, Pitt doesn't think he's got much of a shot at winning the office.

"I'd be running on the gay marriage, no religion, legalizing and taxation of marijuana platform," Pitt told Ann Curry on NBC's "Today" on Thursday. " I don't have a chance."

Curry pressed him on the subject by asking if he'd take the job if the citizens called on him to run.

"I don't have a chance," Pitt repeated. "It's not what I do best."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Brad Pitt will be lending his voice to the upcoming animated feature Oobermind for Dreamworks Animation.

Pitt will co-star along with Will Ferrell, Jonah Hill and Tina Fey.

Ferrell will play Oobermind, a supervillian who conquers Pitt's Metro Man - but quickly realizes that life is boring without an adversary. So Oobermind creates a new superhero named Titan. Unfortch, Titan -voiced by Jonah Hill - prefers the dark side, forcing Oobermind to take on the role of superhero.

Tina Fey will play a reporter who tries to keep track of the chaotic superhero situation.

The film is expected to be in theaters in the Fall of 2010.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - What does Brad Pitt think of Tom Cruise's Valkyrie? Not much apparently.

In an interview in the German magazine Stern, Pitt - who is promoting his own Nazi theme movie Inglourious Basterds - was asked what he thought of his friend's film.

"It was a ridiculous movie," Pitt said.

Pitt thinks his own World War II movie sets the bar for films of that genre.

"The second World War could still deliver more stories and films, but I believe that Quentin [Tarantino, director] put a cover on that pot. With Basterds, everything than can be said to this genre has been said," Pitt tells the German magazine Stern. "The film destroys every symbol. The work is done, end of story," Pitt told Stern

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Sheryl Crow has sold her music publishing catalogue to an Australian asset management group for an estimated 10 million bucks.

The deal gives the company the majority of royalties from her long string of hits, including "All I Wanna Do."

According to the Wall Street Journal, investors are attracted to music publishing - the ownership and promotion of copyrights on melodies and lyrics - because of the steady income from royalties.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Hoping to give their kids a more "normal" life, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are buying a French chateau which they plan to transform into their dream home.

According to The Mirror, the globe-trotting couple shelled out $35 million bucks for Chateau Miraval, a 1,000 acre estate in Provence they had previously been renting. They plan to spend another $10 million renovating the 17th-Century Chateau.

Apparently, the couple are planning on re-doing all 35 of the main house's rooms to "give them a more contemporary feel."

They also want to add a new gym, a jacuzzi, steamroom and spa. They also are planning a motorbike track for Brad.

Security is also going to be upgraded, with alarms, cameras and a security center installed.

The Jolie-Pitts won't be the only celebs in the area, neighbors will include U2's Bono as well as Johnny Depp and his family.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes hasn't even hit theaters yet, and there's already talk of a sequel starring Brad Pitt.

Pitt has had discussions with producers to star as Sherlock's arch nemesis Moriarty in the new motion picture, according to the Risky Biz blog.

Though nothing is official for Pitt, most of the talent, including Robert Downey Jr. and Rachel McAdams (along with Ritchie as the director) are expected to return for the sequel, and Ritchie has worked with Pitt before, so hopefully all parties involved will work something out!

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - It's been nearly five years, so you'd think Jennifer Aniston would be over her divorce from Brad Pitt, but apparently she's still stuck on her ex-husband and it's affecting her work!

The NY Post reports that Jennifer burst into tears in her trailer while filming The Bounty in New York, telling an assistant that a scene brought back memories of her ex. A source tells the Post that when the crew member went to grab Jennifer for her scene, she said, "I need a moment. This scene reminds me of Brad and me." The source added, "While she enjoyed flirting with Gerard on set and put a brave face on every day, privately she is still very fragile."

Jennifer's rep denies the incident and says the whole thing is "ridiculous...it never happened."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - It's been a while since Brad and Angelina have had a night out together, but last night, the globe-trotting couple settled down in Los Angeles for a romantic dinner at Cecconi's in West Hollywood.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Brangelina arrived to the restaurant at 7:30 pm and stayed for two hours.

Angelina had a book with her -- Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide. It appeared there was a meeting of some sort to celebrate the launch of the new book by New York Times columnist Nicholas D. Kristof and his Pulitzer Prize-winning wife Sheryl WuDunn. Gee, not exactly a casual night out!

Our photographer tells X17online: "Brad and Angelina looked really happy to be together. Angelina was holding Brad's hand and she was smiling the whole time. They both seemed proud of each other ... Then Brad drove away really fast, showing off his new car."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are designing a collection of snake-inspired gold and silver jewelry and accessories with Asprey, and according to company officials and Women's Wear Daily, the line will go on sale at Asprey stores later this week.

The aptly titled limited edition "Protector" collection was in the works for more than a year, and all net proceeds from sales will go to Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, which Jolie co-founded in 2006. As you may recall, the charity raises awareness and money to help and educate child victims of war, conflict and natural disasters.

So why the snake? According to WWD, Angelina was given a snake ring while she was pregnant with Shiloh, and she considers the serpent to be a protector of her family.

Prices start at $525, and though Brangelina wouldn't comment on the collection itself, they did discuss the goals of the charity, saying, “These are the children who most need a safe place to learn, a place to heal, a place to learn reconciliation, a place to build a better future and a place - to just be children. Yet the education for these children is often forgotten. Tens of millions of children and adolescents in conflict are not in school.”

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - On Sunday, the day Brad Pitt usually spends with Angelina and his family, Brad attended an award screening of his film, Inglourious Basterds solo before heading out for margaritas and Mexican food at the cool but casual El Compadre in West Hollywood with Quentin Tarantino, some of the other Basterds and a mystery woman!

"We were kind of surprised that Angelina wasn't with him," a photog tells X17online. "Sunday is the day he usually spends with Angie and the family, and he spent the entire afternoon at a screening and then a party afterward. And with awards season coming up, you'd think she'd want to be there to support her man in his Oscar bid!"

But Brad seemed perfectly happy at the party without her, staying at the eaterie for over an hour. "Brad seemed to be having a good time with everyone and didn't appear to be in too much of a rush to get back home," says the snapper.

We're sure this woman is no threat to Angelina, but what would she say when she sees her man with his hands on another girl?

The trio dressed in all black in support of the New Orleans Saints, and Maddox topped off his outfit with a Saints jersey.

A source tells X17online Brad and Angelina were very cozy throughout the game, with intermittent breaks for Brad to cheer on his team. The pair, with their oldest son, were a tight unit, hardly separating to mingle with others in their VIP skybox. Says the source:

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Brad Pitt is stepping away from the camera and putting on his producing hat for the upcoming film, The Tiger.

The actor is teaming up with writer Guillermo Arriaga, who penned Pitt's Babel. Although the concept is in early development, it will be co-produced by Focus Features and Random House. Pitt's Plan B will also be involved with the production.

The Tiger focuses on an animal activist who is trying to save a small Siberian town from a tiger that has started attacking the town's residents. The script will be based on a nonfiction book by John Vaillant.

Darren Aronofsky is in the running to direct the film.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Brad Pitt has just signed on to produce and star in heist comedy Cogan's Trade with The Assassination of Jesse James writer/director Andrew Dominik.

The story centers around Jackie Cogan (Pitt) a professional enforcer who investigates a heist that went down during a mob-protected poker game. Trade will be released in 2013.

Pitt can next bee seen in Tree of Life, out in May 2011, and Moneyball, to be released in September.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Moneyball co-stars Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill are set to collaborate on another film, which Pitt will produce and Hill will star in, along with actor James Franco.

The yet untitled film will be an adaptation of journalist Michael Finkel's memoir True Story, a tale about a New York Times reporter fired for supposedly falsifying information, who then earns a chance to redeem himself when he's granted an exclusive interview with a fugitive wanted by the FBI. Hill is set to play the protagonist, and Franco will assume the role of the fugitive.

Deadline reports Pitt and his production company Plan B were handed the reigns by Paramount after they had already set into motion the adaptation of the script.

Pitches have been made to financiers, and the production company hopes to put a deal in place within the week.
