LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Charlize Theron has settled a $20 million suit with a Swiss watchmaker that alleged the Academy-Award winning actress failed to follow the terms of a contract with the company.

Watchmaker Raymond Weil sued Theron claiming the actress wore a competitor's watch at several red carpet events, a violation of her agreement with the company.

Weil said the violations "demonstrate a total disregard by [Theron] for any of her obligations under the agreement."

Terms of the settlement were not disclosed and neither the watchmaker or Theron would comment on the case.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Angelina Jolie jetted into Los Angeles on Wednesday for a quick meeting with Sony Pictures executives to sign the deal that will have Jolie replace Charlize Theron in the upcoming film The Tourist.

The film is a remake of the 2005 French thriller Anthony Zimmer and Jolie is to play a seductress/action role. The Tourist focuses on an American tourist who goes undercover for Interpol to trap a former lover who happens to be a suspected international criminal. Production is set for early next year.

X17online's exclusive photos also reveal another scoop in this story -- Sony had been looking for a director for the film after previously-attached Bharat Nalluri dropped out and X17's images show Cider House Rules director Lasse Hallstrom walking alongside Jolie after their meeting. The assumption now is the Hallstrom will direct.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Charlize Theron will be honored with the Distinguished Decade of Achievement in Film Award at CinemaCon in Las Vegas next month.

The actress, who earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role in Young Adult, will star opposite Kristen Stewart in this summer's Snow White and the Huntsman. Theron will play the evil queen in Universal's remake of the classic fairy tale.

"Over the past decade, Charlize Theron has proven that as an actor, she can do it all. Whether her role be comedic or dramatic, she never ceases to entertain audiences with her unique ability to capture the essence of any character," CinemaCon general manager Mitch Neuhauser said in a statement.

CinemaCon is hosted by the National Association of Theater Owners and will take place at Caesars Palace from April 23-26.
