Christina Aguilera Tops The Charts With You Lost Me

xtinaface200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Christina Aguilera has hit #1 on the Billboard Dance charts for the second time with a remix of You Lost Me.

The 29-year-old singer's latest single from the album Bionic has surpassed Katy Perry's Teenage Dream ... securing the top spot. X-Tina's first single Not Myself Tonight was her first #1 chart topper off the album.

When Bionic first hit stores, critics felt it was a disappointing release considering the album sold only approximately 110,000 copies in its first week. However, the You Lost Me remix has revived her sales, particularly with the gay dance scene.

A few months ago, Christina Aguilera postponed her 2010 Bionic Tour. No rescheduled dates have been announced.

Christina Aguilera And Sony Sued Over Ain't No Other Man Song

caguilera200mugpic.jpgNEW YORK, New York (X17online) - Music company TufAmerica has filed a federal lawsuit against Christina Aguilera and Sony Music claiming they were never paid for the rights to use a sample of their song "Hippy Skippy Moon Strut."

The 1968 track was allegedly used for Aguilera's Grammy-winning hit song "Ain't No Other Man."

According to the lawsuit, TufAmerica claims Sony paid the wrong distributor for the rights to use the song. Sony originally arranged the deal with Condigo Mysic and the Clyde Otis Music Group.

"Hippy Skippy Moon Strut" was originally sung by Dave Cortez and the Moon People.

The court papers claim TufAmerica is seeking punitive damages and to nullify other publishers' claims to the rights.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - NBC's new singing competition show The Voice won't be singing a swan song any time soon.

The show drew 11.8 million viewers for its premiere Tuesday, making it the highest-rated premiere on any major network in the 18-49 demographic since CBS' Undercover Boss premiered in February after the Super Bowl.

Thanks to The Voice, NBC was the top network of the night in that demo, defeating Fox, ABC and CBS.

While CBS was, granted, only airing repeats, Fox gave a valiant effort to beat the competition by airing a 90-minute episode of Glee featuring Lady Gaga. Glee was down 11 percent from last week.

The Voice features celebrity coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - NBC has announced more celebrities that will appear on its new singing competition show, The Voice.

Singers Reba McEntire, Monica and Sia (Australia's Sia Furler) along with music producer Adam Blackstone will join the series as advisers to the talent coaches, who include Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.

The Voice premiered this week to strong numbers. It next airs May 3.

Aguilera will team up with singer/songwriter Sia, Levine with Blackstone, Green with Monica and Shelton with veteran and fellow country singer Reba.

The advisers are part of what NBC promised its coaches would do: bring their personal friends and members of their music teams to help them on the show. Blackstone, for example, is music director for Levine's band Maroon 5.

Shelton and McEntire co-hosted this year's Academy of Country Music Awards in early April and just announced that they will also host a Tornado Relief Concert May 26 in Oklahoma to benefit victims of this year's many tornadoes throughout the Midwest and South.

Christina Aguilera To Perform at Michael Jackson Tribute Concert

bigthumb.caguilerarutler060311_08_X17200.jpgLOS ANGELES, CA (X17online) - Christina Aguilera has been added to the long list of performers that will pay tribute to Michael Jackson at "Michael Forever — The Tribute Concert" in October.

Aguilera will join Cee Lo Green, Leona Lewis, Smokey Robinson, Craig David, and Alien Ant Farm.

The tribute concert has been a divisive issue for the Jackson family; while Katherine Jackson and a number of Michael’s siblings endorse the event, Jermaine and Randy Jackson have expressed their disapproval of it.

"We want to make clear that this does not reflect the position of the entire family," the two brothers said in a statement released last month. "While we wholeheartedly support the spirit of a tribute that honors our brother, we find it impossible to support an event that is due to take place during the criminal trial surrounding Michael's death."

“Michael Forever – The Tribute Concert” will be held at the Millennium Stadium in Wales on October 8.
