LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Courtney Love, the widow of Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain, may have been swindled out of as much as $500 million, according to online reports.

Love's attorney, Rhonda J. Holmes says the extent of the loss is unknown and that so far only about $30 million has been accounted for.

Her attorney says Love was likely victimized at a time in her life when she was unable to take care of her own finances.

"It's no secret she struggled with substance-abuse issues, but in the last year she's taken a more serious approach to sobriety and started noticing things were wrong."

According to her lawyer, Love only became aware there was a financial issue when she "noticed the money was gone ... there wasn't any left". A team of private investigators, accountants and lawyers are now in the process of trying to recover Love's assets.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Looks like the credit crunch is affecting at least one celebrity.

Courtney Love is being sued by American Express for more than $350,000 in upaid charges and fees on her gold card.

The suit was filed Wednesday in Los Angeles by the credit company for Love's "failure and refusal" to pay the balance.

Representatives for Love haven't commented on the suit.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Courtney Love has taken to Twitter to threaten to sue her former in-laws, Kurt Cobain's mother Wendy O'Connor and his sister Kimberly Dawn Cobain, who currently have custody of Love's daughter Frances Bean Cobain.

"This sh*t with the bean needs to be exposed for what it is right f*cking NOW enough," Courtney tweeted.

She went on to claim that O'Connor and Cobain, who have temporary guardianship over Frances Bean's finances, have somehow frozen Courtney's bank accounts.

"they squeesed my bank accounts so that they were frozen because they know im going to sue the holy sh*t out of them and now are ? crocodiling my kid whose better than this seriously she was raised too well to be bought," Love tweeted.

And in case you thought this was some sort of druggy rant, don't worry, cuz Court says she's sober. "im severely lonely without my best friend and no am not on drugs BTW."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Courtney Love's former assistant Jessica Labrie is hoping to expose the rocker's dirtiest secrets in a tell-all tentatively titled Get Me A Xanax. Labrie worked for Love from 2010-2011, and is now shopping around the manuscript to various publishing houses in New York.

Although Love has claimed to be clean and sober for the past several years, her assistant makes shocking claims about her drug abuse - specifically that she still uses cocaine and abuses prescription medication like Adderall and Xanax.

"This is an unprecedented glimpse into the daily life of the chaotic widow of Kurt Cobain, by an innocuous girl who had the extraordinary chance to witness it all," the book proposal states.

Although Love admits to having a legal prescription for Xanax, she denies the cocaine allegation and claims she "hates" that drug.
