LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Soccer star David Beckham will make a special guest appearance on the first episode of the 39th season of Sesame Street, according to The Daily Mail. He will introduce the word "persistent" to Elmo and viewers on the show's "Word on the Street" segment.

Other celebrities including Heidi Klum, Jenny McCarthy, Jack Black and Jessica Alba will also appear in the special episode of the highly popular children's show.

A source told the newspaper, "David has always been a huge fan of the show. When he was a kid he watched it, like a lot of people, and knew all the characters. He was more than happy to go on."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - David Beckham will appear at the 2008 Beijing Olympics closing ceremony as the handover to London 2012 begins. The soccer star will arrive on top of a double-decker bus and kick a soccer ball into the crowd to celebrate. An inside source told The Mirror, "It is set to be one of the most mind-blowing spectacles ever. David was elated to be asked to take part, as was everyone who has been invited."

The closing ceremony will take place on August 24, and in addition to Beckham, Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page will perform a duet with pop sensation Leona Lewis.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Two housekeepers have been arrested for allegedly stealing items from David and Victoria Beckham's UK home and then attempting to sell the items on an internet auction site, according to the Associated Press.

The housekeepers' 25-year-old son has also been arrested in connection with the alleged theft.

All three are alleged to have taken soccer jerseys and other sports memorabilia belonging to David, as well as jewelry and designer dresses belonging to Victoria. The items were then offered for sale on an internet auction site.

The thefts were reportedly discovered by Mrs. Beckham's parents, Tony and Jackie Adams, who recognized several of the items being offered for sale.

"They were most personal and sentimental items collected by Victoria and David during their time abroad. Some of the things were given to them as presents and are unique because they were specially made for them. They include mostly small but expensive trinkets and some pieces which were on decorative display. Together they add up to quite a high value," a source told the Telegraph newspaper in the UK.

The housekeepers and their son deny all of the allegations. Police in Hertfordshire, where the Beckham home is located, say they are investigating the alleged crimes.

The Beckham's have not commented on the arrests.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - David Beckham could be playing soccer for the Italian team AC Milan this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

Beckham will spend about two months with the team during the Los Angeles Galaxy's off-season.

Both sides said today the deal was still not finalized, but the hope is that Beckam would start January.

He will need to return to the United States for the Galaxy's soccer season in April.

The plan was announced by Adriano Galliani, the AC Milan president, who said: "He will be a club player for a few months and then leave."

"'Our team is ultra competitive and will remain so but Beckham is something different and intriguing," the AC Milan coach said. "For me it would be a pleasure to have Beckham here, he is a serious athlete, a great professional."

Beckham hasn't commented on the proposed move.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - A member of David Beckham's security team grabbed a photographer's camera after the Soccer star confronted him at a traffic light in Beverly Hills.

According to the photographer, Emicles DeMata, Beckham approached his car and asked him to get out of the car. When he refused, Beckham's security team apparently reached inside the car and grabbed his camera and threw it in a nearby garbage can.

DeMata says when he got out to try to recover his equipment, he was punched and thrown to the ground by the bodyguards.

"They punched me a lot," DeMata said. He says he was punched in the eye and mouth and had his arms twisted behind his back.

The Beverly Hills Police Department arrived on the scene to investigate. DeMata declined to have the bodyguards arrested, however the BHPD is reviewing the incident.

DeMata was treated at a local hospital for his injuries.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Police in the UK say no charges will be filed following allegations of theft from David and Victoria Beckham's British home, according to the Associate Press.

Three people, two of whom had worked for the Beckhams as housekeepers, were arrested in October.

British media reported that the arrests came after some of the couple's possessions — soccer memorabilia and dresses — were spotted on an Internet auction site.

Hertfordshire Police said Wednesday that after consulting with prosecutors, no charges will be filed in the alleged theft from the mansion in Sawbridgeworth, northwest of London.

They said the "injured party" was aware of the status of the case, but refused to provide additional details.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - A photographer who says David Beckham's security team beat him up on a Beverly Hills street has filed a lawsuit against the soccer star.

X17online first published the story of the attack that occurred on December 7th.

Photographer Emicles Da Mata was following Beckham when Becks got out of his car at a red light and tried to reach into Da Mata's car and grab his camera equipment.

Then Beckham's security guards got involved. One of the security guys snatched the $8000 camera and threw it into a garbage can.

As Da Mata got out of his car to retrieve his equipment, he says he was violently attacked by the security team who threw him to the ground, punching and kicking him repeatedly.

"They put me in a headlock, and held my arms behind my back. Then they threw me to the ground," DaMata told X17online shortly after the alleged attack.

Beverly Hills Police were called to the scene and asked if he wanted to press charges against the bodyguards. Da Mata declined to file charges at the scene. An X17 photographer nearby offered the officers the video tape from his camera as evidence for their investigation.

To this date, no charges have been filed against the security guards and Beverly Hills Police have refused to comment on the investigation.

Just last week, an X17 reporter spotted the same Beckham security guards chatting with Beverly Hills Police officers at the same 76 Station where the incident occurred.

Despite numerous requests from the X17 photog who provided the tape, the police have also refused to return the video tape of the incident.

Da Mata's suit alleges assault and battery, negligence, negligent and intentional infliction of emotional distress and conversion. The suit seeks unspecified damages.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - David Beckham is enjoying his two-month loan to the Italian soccer team AC Milan so much, that's he's considering making the move permanent.

"I knew I'd have fun but I didn't expect to have so much fun," Beckham told an Italian newspaper.

Milan team officials are even reportedly considering offering the LA Galaxy a fee to release Beckham from his contract so that he could join the Italian team permanently.

No official announcement about the proposed move has yet been made.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - David Beckham's days playing soccer in LA could be numbered, according to the LA Times.

The owner of the AC Milan soccer team is reportedly doing everything in his power to keep the soccer star from returning to the LA Galaxy next month.

"Milan will do everything to have Beckham even after March. It is clear that it's our wish to have him until the end of the season or on a permanent deal," the Milan team owner said.

The mid-fielder has been on loan to the team, but is scheduled to return to LA next month for the start of the Galaxy's season.

Beckham reportedly wants to stay in Italy as well, and is telling his lawyers to find a way out his contract with the Galaxy.

“At the moment, Milan is more important than money. I want to think about football before everything else. I said in a clear manner what I think, I want to stay at Milan because I’ve rediscovered myself as a football player,” Becks told an Italian interviewer via MSNBC.

The soccer star has about 3 years left on his $30 million dollar contract with the LA Galaxy in the United States.

Lawyers will have to work out a deal that would allow Beckham to break his contract with the LA Galaxy to play full time in Milan.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - David Beckham has apparently found a way to get out of his contract with the LA Galaxy so that he can join AC Milan full time, but both he and the team are going to have to shell out a lot of cash.

According to the Daily Mail, Becks will return to LA at the end of May to play for the Galaxy until their season ends in November. He'll then pack up Posh and the kids and head back to Italy to rejoin AC Milan for good.

The Mail reports that AC Milan is forking over more than $10 million to the Galaxy, while Beckham is set to pay the team back another $5 million or so.

An official announcement on the deal is expected in the next 24 hours.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - A former nanny apologized to David Beckham and his wife Victoria in a London Court on Monday for violating a confidentiality agreement she signed while she was employed by the couple.

Abbie Gibson was sued by the Beckhams after she gave an interview to a British newspaper. The suit was dismissed following the apology. She is forbidden to talk about the Beckhams publicly.

The Beckhams had previous sued the newspaper that published the interview with the former nanny. The paper apologized and paid libel damages to the soccer star and his wife.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - David and Victoria Beckham were among the guests celebrating Kate Beckinsale's 36th Birthday at Michael Minna's XIV in Hollywood Monday night.

"The group looked like they were all having fun, and it looked almost like a fashion competition - who had the most beautiful dress, the biggest diamonds," a spy inside said.

"Desperate Housewives" star Eva Longoria joined the couple at the event, reuniting the group that met for Victoria's birthday last year.

"They ate for about an hour and a half and then Eva, Kate, and Len left out the front door and David and Victoria snuck out the back," the spy said. "The Beckhams were definitely hoping not to be seen."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) -The world's biggest soccer star, David Beckham, was in South Africa yesterday to coach a group of youngsters during a one-day clinic for "Coaching For Hope," a non-profit that not only teaches under-privileged kids soccer, but HIV awareness at the same time.

Beckham said, "It's amazing to visit a project like this and see the effect football has on young people. Football has the power to change lives and the youngsters are able to learn valuable lessons through their love of the game. I feel privileged to have met these children and despite the fact we come from different backgrounds we share a love for the game of football."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - David Beckham took advantage of the sunny LA weather Sunday to take his three boys, Brooklyn (10), Romeo (7) and Cruz (4) for a ride on the Venice boardwalk.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The love fest between the Beckhams and the Cruises may extend to parenting and good looks, but David Beckham's got no love for Tom Cruise's dinner games, especially when they involve singing!

Becks told George Lopez that singing in public is his "worst nightmare," so one night out at a dinner, when Tom suggested, "'OK, let's play a music game, let's start a singing game!'" Beckham tried to do anything to get out of it, even texting a friend at a table nearby to save him from singing!

Still, even though Beckham doesn't like Tom's "game night," he does say that TomKat are "amazing parents," and Tom is "one of the most handsome men I've ever met."

Sounds like the bromance is still in full effect! But what's Becks got to say about his wife Victoria?

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - They may have been replaced by younger models for Armani Underwear , but David and Victoria Beckham show they can still bring the sexy in a hot new his 'n hers photo shoot for 10 magazine.

Victoria dons a skin-tight skin-colored Roland Mouret dress for the shoot. And even though she appears just as thin as ever, Vicky revealed she shares a dress size with friend and fellow celebrity-turned-fashion designer Jennifer Lopez! "Actually, the one I tried on yesterday was the one Jennifer wore," she told the mag. "And who'd have thought I'd be the same size as Jennifer Lopez!" Hmmm, is that a diss to Jenny from the block or just an attempt by Victoria to appear more curvy?

Although Victoria seems to feel right at home in front of the camera, David is a bit more shy about baring his bits.

"I still feel quite shy when I see a poster or campaign like that," he said of his nearly naked Armani Underwear shots. "It was a daunting experience stripping off in front of a room of people but after a while you get used to it - although my mum still hasn't."

I'm not sure we ever will either, David!
