Did David Hasselhoff OD on Alcohol Again?

HasselhoffHospital200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - There are conflicting reports about what led David Hasselholff's ex wife to rush the former "Baywatch" star to the hospital over the weekend.

While it seems clear that alcohol was a factor, he was not suffering from alcohol poisoning as was initially reported.

According to TMZ, the reports that Hasselhoff was rushed to Cedars-Sinai hospital after being discovered passed by his teenaged daughter aren't true and may have been planted by his ex-wife Pamela Bach.

Hasselhoff's reps say the actor, who has had a long struggle with alcohol, was drinking this weekend, but that was not the reason for the hospital visit.

He was treated at the hospital, and released yesterday. He is reportedly at home recovering.

David Hasselhoff Hospitalized For Alcohol Poisoning

hasseldrunk200.jpg LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - For the second time in less than 6 months, former Baywatch star David Hasselhoff has been hospitalized for alcohol poisoning.

Paramedics responded to a 911 call at the actor's Encino home just before 3:30pm on Sunday, and Hasselhoff was transported to the hospital in an ambulance for alcohol poisoning. Hasselhoff was hospitalized back in May for alcohol poisoning, and this time 911 was called after he appeared to be in physical danger.

Hasselhoff had reportedly been drinking all day, and his 17-year-old daughter accompanied him to the hospital, and she was seen crying as she sat by her father's side.

Just last week X17online chatted with Hasselhoff at the Malibu Triathlon, and he didn't comment on his alcoholism, but he did mention that he has someone else driving for him these days.

David Hasselhoff's Rep Denies He Was On Psychiatric Hold

thehoffnew200.jpg LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - David Hasselhoff’s rep has denied that he was put on an involuntary psychiatric hold following his hospitalization over the weekend.

After other sites reported that the troubled actor was put on a 5150, David's rep issued the following statement, "David is home now and he's fine. I'm not sure where that information is coming from."

And the former Baywatch star wasn't the only one who got into trouble with the law this weekend! Hasselhoff’s ex-wife Pamela Bach was charged with drunk driving Saturday night, after being stopped after 8PM on Laurel Canyon Boulevard. According to the LA Times, Bach recorded breathalyzer tests of .14 and .13, which is well above the legal limit of .08.

David Hasselhoff Returns to Young & Restless

hasselhoff200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - David Hasselhoff is returning to the soap that made him famous. The former Baywatch star starred on The Young and the Restless from 1975 to 1982, and beginning in May, he'll return to the set of the fictitious city, Genoa City.

Hasselhoff will once again wear his lab coat as Dr. William "Snapper" Foster Jr. for his role that will begin airing in mid-June.

Hasselhoff had this to say about his early days on Y&R:

“In 1976, Bill Bell, creator of America’s No. 1 soap opera, took a chance on a young and very green actor. Playing Snapper in 850 shows during the six years I appeared molded my craft, my attitude and my work ethic. Being asked to come back to appear in several episodes gives me a chance to say thanks, as I have an amazing amount of respect and heartfelt emotion for Bill, his family and my time on Young and the Restless. I just hope I can remember all those lines.”

Hasselhoff will soon be appearing in a reality show on A&E that will focus on his family. No word on whether or not his Young & Restless appearance will be featured on the show.
