LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Jersey Shore brought in a record number of viewers when season four premiered Thursday night.

The newest cycle, filmed in Italy, had 8.8 million viewers, up 4% from last season's debut.

The newest episode was the third-highest series telecast ever for MTV, coming in behind two shows from season three of the Jersey Shore.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Jersey Shore's Vinny Guadagnino is making his acting dreams a reality when he appears in the upcoming season of 90210.

Vinny will play a "young and gregarious" celebrity who plays Liam (Matt Lanter) in a high stakes poker game in Las Vegas, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The CW put out a casting call earlier this year, looking for a well-known celebrity. The show was looking for "anybody from an upcoming movie star to a well-known reality TV personality.”

Earlier this year, Guadagnino appeared in one episode of MTV's The Hard Times of RJ Berger as Cousin Vinny.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online ) - Snooki and JWoww are taking their antics to Jersey City.

The Jersey Shore twosome will record a spin-off series in Jersey City after being turned away from Hoboken, where the city mayor declared that "any attempts to film in a manner that is not permitted without a permit will be dealt with immediately and aggressively by the City of Hoboken."

Snooki and JWoww join Pauly D in finding success beyond the Jersey Shore; The Pauly D Project, which follows Pauly D’s life as a DJ, will premiere in March on MTV.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The wild and crazy cast of the Jersey Shore moved back into their Seaside Heights, NJ. rental Thursday.

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, who recently underwent rehab for a prescription pill addiction and alcohol abuse, was the first to arrive, followed by the rest of his cast mates. In typical fashion, JWoww and Snooki were fashionably late, arriving last.

Pregnant Snooki will not be sharing the house with her co-stars, but will live nearby with her fiance Jionni LaValle.

Many would assume the show taping is a disruption to the Seaside community, but Administrator John Camera claims the opposite is true, and that the MTV series actually boosts tourism and revenue.
