LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Keanu Reeves was in a Los Angeles courtroom Monday for opening statements in a lawsuit brought by a freelance photographer who claims he was injured when Reeves struck him with his car.

The incident allegedly happened last year in Palos Verdes. Paparazzo Alison Silva claims he was injured and unable to work after Reeves struck him with his Porsche as he tried to photograph the actor.

Reeves denies the allegations.

X17online has been called to testify in the case to establish Silva's loss of income because of his injuries. However, X17online denies Silva ever worked for the agency.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Keanu Reeves testified in a civil trial Tuesday, in which a photographer claims he was seriously injured when the actor struck him with his car.

Reeves says he slowly moved his Porsche forward to get the paparazzo to move out of the way in March 2007, but never hit him.

Alison Silva is suing Reeves for damages and lost wages. He claims the actor pushed him to the ground with his car while Silva was taking photographs.

Wearing a dark suit and frequently using his hands, Reeves described how he tried to get Silva to get out from in front of his car by rocking it and moving it slowly forward, but never hit the photographer.

Silva claims Reeves hit the photographer with his Porsche in 2007. He's suing the actor for damages in civil court.

Wednesday, Silva testified that he was a fan of the actor's work. He later described the incident and broke down into tears when explaining his injuries. The photographer claims he has not been able to work since the incident.

Silva showed jurors a scar he claims is from a surgery required to repair his injured hand, the Associated Press reported.

Attorneys for Reeves will be questioning Silva, who they claim has repeatedly changed the details of his story following the incident.

Keanu Reeves testified on Tuesday that Silva "slapped" his car, but contends that he did not hit the paparazzo.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Keanu Reeves is bringing another science fiction favorite to the big screen, signing on to star in "Cowboy Bebop," Variety reports.

Reeves will play Spike Spiegel, an time-traveling bounty hunter in the live-action adaptation of the original Japanese anime.

The plot revolves aroud the adventures of a group of bounty hunters traveling through time in a spaceship.

Fox is the studio producing the film.
