LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Mariah Carey, 38, and Nick Cannon, 27, are engaged, a source close to Mariah confirmed to Access Hollywood today.

Rumors began to swirl that the couple were engaged Carey was spotted with a large diamond on her ring finger at the after party for her Tribeca film, “Tennessee,” in New York. X17 contacted reps for both Carey and Cannon, but calls were not immediately returned.

This will be the first marriage for Cannon, and the second for Mariah, who was previously married to record exec Tommy Mottola from 1993 to 1998.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - According to a source for the New York Post, singer Mariah Carey did not sign a prenuptial agreement prior to marrying boyfriend Nick Cannon. The source stated, "There was no pre-nup - there wasn't time."

Carey and Cannon were married on Wednesday at the home Carey just bought on Windmere Island off the southern coast of central Eleuthera, in the Bahamas, a source close to the singer said.

In Touch Weekly is reporting that Cannon, 27, teamed up with Jacob & Co to design the $2.5 million ring that he gave Carey, 38. The store's rep confirmed to the magazine that Carey's new 17-carat rock has an emerald-cut light-pink diamond in the center with two half-moon diamonds on each side surrounded by 58 intense pink diamonds set in platinum.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon obtained a marriage license on the Caribbean island of Eleuthera, a source confirms to People.

Marriage laws in the Bahamas require the couple to be in the country for at least 48 hours, to be over the age of 16 and to have obtained a valid marriage license within 90 days, and a source confirms that Carey and Cannon followed all these prerequisites.

Carey and Cannon were married on Wednesday on Eleuthera, in a small, private ceremony. Sources have revealed that the two did not sign a prenuptual agreement.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Fox News is reporting that Mariah Carey and new husband Nick Cannon do have a prenuptial agreement, despite earlier reports to the contrary.

According to a source for Fox News, Mariah said, "Anyone who thinks we didn't have a prenup is smoking something!"

Carey and Cannon were married on May 30 on the Bahamian island of Eleuthera, in a small, private ceremony. The couple obtained a marriage license on the island as well.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Grammy winning singer Mariah Carey will perform at Time Magazine's "Time 100" party in Manhattan on Thursday May 8th, according the events publicist, Amy Jacobs. The event will celebrate the magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Guests expected to attend include George Clooney, Chris Rock, Senator John McCain, Robert Downey Jr., Tina Fey, Lance Armstrong, Judd Apatow, Lorne Michaels, Tyler Perry, Ethan Hawke, Rupert Murdoch, B.J. Novak, Suze Orman, Peter Gabriel, Angelica Huston, Taylor Hackford, Michelle Williams, Matt Lauer, Gayle King, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Charlie Rose, Christiane Amanpour, Brian Williams, Bill O’Reilly and Martha Stewart among others.

This will be the first public appearance for Carey, 38, since her marriage last Wednesday to boyfriend Nick Cannon, 29, in the Bahamas.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Midas Promotions and Blue Giraffe Entertainment and On Golden Pond Pictures regret to announce that the “Divas in Dubai” concert event with performances by Mariah Carey (May 15) and Fergie (May 16) is being rescheduled to a later date in the fall of 2008.

In a statement today, Mel Tyler of Midas Promotions stated that “the extremely compressed time frame along with unforeseen logistical complications compelled us to move the event later in the year to ensure a show commensurate with the level of success of these world class Artists and the people of Dubai.”

Another producer added, “Mariah and Fergie are disappointed that they won’t be able to perform. They had scheduled this one special event in their calendars and were looking forward to performing for the Dubai fans.”

However, Carey is scheduled to perform at the Time 100 party this evening in New York.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Newlyweds Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey had quite a soiree at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California last night with 100 of their close friends and family members. Cannon rented out the theme park and threw a surprise party for Carey, who he married on May 30 in the Bahamas.

According to Us Weekly, the park was decorated with pink and purple balloons (Mariah's favorite colors) and a banner that read, "Mariah and Nick - A Love Story."

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are planning a second wedding, and a source close to the Grammy winning singer revealed to MSNBC that the ceremony will take place in New York City within the next six weeks.

The source also said that Carey, 38, wants to make her second ceremony "an over-the-top event," and that she "wants over 2,000 guests and the budget will be well over $4 million and she’ll have at least 14 bridesmaids.” The source is also reporting that supermodel Naomi Campbell is confirmed to be on the guest list.

According to the New York Post, the party will be hosted by Def Jam boss L.A. Reid, and guests bought Carey presents through her Bergdorf Goodman registry. The 10-bedroom, 18,000 square-foot, 8-acre property costs an astounding $125,000 a week, and Carey has the option to buy the $20 million estate.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - When it comes to musical collaborations, this is probably one of the biggest ones in the last decade. Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus, Melissa Etheridge, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, Keyshia Cole, Ciara, Leona Lewis, LeAnn Rimes and Carrie Underwood have lent their voices to the new song "Just Stand Up," which will be released on September 2. All of the song's sales will be donated to cancer research.

What's even more impressive is that all 15 singers will share the stage to perform the song live on September 5 during the "Stand Up to Cancer" television special, which will air on ABC, NBC and CBS.

Other stars to appear in the special include Christina Applegate (who just recently went public with her own cancer battle), Jennifer Aniston, Charlize Theron, Lance Armstrong, Katie Couric, Sally Field, Salma Hayek, Meryl Streep, Forest Whitaker and Reese Witherspoon.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Vivendi Entertainment has bought domestic rights to Mariah Carey's film Tennessee, which premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival this spring.

The Hollywood Reporter describes it as "a quiet and at times moody drama centering on two lower-middle class brothers who take to the road to resolve their economic and health challenges. Along the way, they meet and bring along a waitress (Mariah) whose dreams of a singing career have been dashed by a bad marriage."

The film features Mariah's duet with Willie Nelson, Right to Dream.

The film's release is set for December.

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (X17online) - Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon celebrated their first anniversary with a huge party at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

The night started out with dinner for 50 Family & Friends at Simon at Palms Place.

There were candles set up on the tables and a sign that read "Happy Anniversary Mariah & Nick."

Guests dined on surf & turf with sides of Macaroni Cheese and Mashed Potatoes. For dessert everyone splurged on creme Brulee and chocolate chip cookies.

The happy couple then headed over to the packed Moon nightclub where a huge crowd cheered as an extravagant 5 tiered cake was rolled in while club goers toasted Mr.& Mrs. Cannon with flutes of champagne. Later Nick climbed in to the DJ booth where he spun his favorite dance grooves.

"This is the most amazing person in the world," Nick told the crowd. "I dedicate my life to her daily, and together this union is going to last forever."

Nick surprised Mariah with with a video highlight reel of the couple's first year of marriage.

"Mariah just held on to Nick while the video played," a source tells X17online. "She seemed genuinely touched by it and you could see her wiping away tears as she watched."

Carey, who was dressed in a shimmery body-hugging silver and pink beaded dress, told the crowd: "I have the best man in the whole wide world."

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (X17online) - Mariah Carey is reportedly shopping around a musical based on her life.

This morning on KIIS FM, Ryan Seacrest revealed that the songstress is in discussions with his production company about the project.

Mariah Carey has reportedly revealed that she'd like for X Factor winner, Leona Lewis, to play the lead part as Mariah. Sources tell the Daily Star that Carey feels that Lewis is the only one that can reach her vocal range.

Nick Cannon has also suggested making a movie based on his wife's rags to riches life story saying: "But it would have to be a comedy. She's the funniest woman in the world, she just cracks me up all the time."

As for the "Mariah" musical, a final deal has yet to be made.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have only been married for two years, but the couple is already renewing their wedding vows.

The 40-year-old singer and her 29-year-old husband have set the date for April 30.

"We get married every year! That's our thing. So it's going to be our third wedding this year. That's what we'll be doing on the actual [anniversary]...We'll do something...A party or event, just to celebrate," Cannon tells Us.

Cannon also tells the mag that he'll be getting his wife another diamond wedding ring for the renewal. Carey's original wedding ring, from Jacob & Co. Jewelers, reportedly cost Cannon $2.5 million.
