Michelle Williams' Father Loses Extradition Fight
LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The father of "Brokeback Mountain" actress Michelle Williams will be extradited from Australia to face tax evasion charges in the US.
Larry Williams, 65, has been wanted in the US for allegedly evading $1.9 million in taxes between 1999 and 2001.
Williams, who once ran for the US Senate in his home state of Montana, originally travelled to Australia in May 2006 for a series of finance seminars and to promote his stock market trading books.
He has since fought extradition all the way to Australia's High Court without success.
Williams became well known while in Australia as he continued to give finance lectures around the country.
Williams will leave Sydney for Los Angeles on a Qantas flight on Monday.
His lawyers have negotiated bail for him in Los Angeles while he continues court proceedings in the US.
