Neil Patrick Harris And Partner Seek Surrogate For First Child

NPHDad200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Neil Patrick Harris and his partner David Burtka are interviewing potential surrogate mothers to deliver the couple's first child, Star magazine is reporting.

"Neil and David can't wait to hold their baby; they don't care if it's a boy or a girl. They just want a healthy child," the mag quotes a friend of the couple.

To find a surrogate mother, NPH and David turned to the same agency that lined up the woman who will be giving birth to Sarah Jessica Parker's twins later this summer.

The guys apparently had to go through a fairly strenuous screening process to be approved by the agency.

"Neil and David were so relieved and excited once they were approved," the source said.

UPDATE!! So we just heard from Neil's publicist who gave us the following statement:

If Star says it, then it must be true! No, we are not currently expecting a baby. Maybe someday ...

Neil Patrick Harris Hosting Tonys For Second Time

npatrickharris022411_02-full200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Just last week, the nominations for the Tony Awards were announced and now the host has been chosen ... it's How I Met Your Mother star, Neil Patrick Harris!

The triple threat performer did a phenomenal job when he hosted the show two years ago ... so much so, he was asked back.

NPH stated had the following to say about hosting again:

“I’m honored and stoked to have been asked to host ... It should be a great show — we’ve got a fantastic mix of live performances, a few secret surprises, and since they’re closed for retooling, we’re using all the rigging equipment from Spider-Man. What could possibly go wrong?”

The 65th Tony Awards will be telecast from the Beacon Theatre in New York City on June 13.
