LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe finalized their divorce today, according to Access Hollywood.
The couple was married for 7 years, but rumors of Phillippe's affair with his Stop-Loss co-star Abbie Cornish are said to have put a strain on the marriage.
Witherspoon and Phillippe have two children together, Ava, age 8, and Deacon, age 4.
LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Reese Witherspoon and Ben Stiller will reportedly star in a new movie from director Cameron Crowe. The untitled film has Stiller playing a disgraced weapons consultant who must travel to Hawaii to launch a spy satellite, according to Chud.com.
Witherspoon will play Stiller's former love interest who regrets ending their relationship.
No release date for the film has been set.
LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon has signed on to star in an untitled comedy directed by James L. Brooks, Variety reports.
The "Broadcast News" and "Terms of Endearment" director is also writing the script which is described as an ensemble project with at least three major characters.
So far, Witherspoon is the only actor attached to the project.
Columbia Pictures, the studio producing the film says filming is expected to begin in March.
LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Jake Gyllenhaal called the police to break up a group of photographers that had gathered outside the R+D Kitchen in Santa Monica where he was having lunch with girlfriend Reese Witherspoon.
The photographers were not blocking and public right of ways and were not otherwise causing a disturbance.
Several Santa Monica Police officers arrived and Jake drove his car from the street around back to an alley to pick up Reese who left the restaurant the back door.
No arrests were made.
Gyllenhaal often calls police to escort him when he spots photographers, even though there is not a threat to public safety.

Jake Gyllenhaal’s assistant visited Reese's home at 7PM on Sunday, and she stayed for about 15 minutes before stepping out with two pieces of luggage. She then headed over to Jake's house with the bags, and X17 photographers on the scene tell X17online exclusively, “She looked like she had a job to do. She was in and out very quickly, and she had two bags with her in the car when she left.â€

Witherspoon's new production company, Pacific Standard, will develop the films, based on M.A. Larson's books.
The premise is a modern-day fairy tale about a school that turns girls into warrior princesses in order to fight a growing group of wicked witches. Pennyroyal's Princess Boot Camp is just one of the several projects already in development at the actress' new banner.
