LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - X17 can confirm that actors Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson are engaged. A rep for Johansson stated that it "is true" and the couple is "thrilled."
Johansson, 23, and Reynolds, 31, have been dating for over a year. Reynolds was previously engaged to singer Alanis Morissette for 2 years, but the couple called off their engagement in June of 2006.
The couple have not set a wedding date.

Reports say the ceremony took place somewhere just outside of Vancouver. It's the first marriage for both; they were engaged in May.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Fox Studios is confirming that they're planning an X-Men sequel featuring "Deadpool" that will star Ryan Reynolds.
"X-Men Origins: Wolverine" is currently the number one film at the box office.
In "Deadpool," Reynolds will reprise the "merc with a mouth," known for his slapstick tone and for breaking the fourth wall.
According to inside sources that the character would regain the ability to mouth off, after having suffered a setback in "Wolverine." Deadpool also was disfigured in the current film, but it's unclear how much the studio will want to mess with Reynolds' handsome mug in the new feature.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, who recently starred on screen together in The Proposal, may be co-stars once again in the romantic comedy tentatively titled, Most Wanted.
Although Bullock has not yet signed the deal, Proposal writer Peter Chiarelli has already pitched the project with the two stars in mind and Universal Pictures has decided to jump on board.
Chiarelli is hoping to bring Proposal director Anne Fletcher on board, as well.
The storyline is based on a criminal, played by Bullock, who is being escorted to court by a U.S. Marshall, played by Reynolds. The two end up forced to go on the run.
Next year Reynolds' next film, The Green Lantern, will be hitting theaters.
LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper will be starring in a modern day Lethal Weapon-type movie. The two actors have signed on for an action-comedy written by Up in the Air writer Sheldon Turner.
The movie will revolve around two friends who follow in their fathers' footsteps as San Francisco cops. In the script, the two dads come out of retirement to help their sons crack a difficult case.
Reynolds will next star in the independent thriller Buried. As for Cooper, he will next star in the thriller The Dark Fields.
LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - While it was announced back in June Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock have both signed on for the upcoming action-comedy Most Wanted, it may be many years until it actually hits theaters.
Bullock recently said of Most Wanted: "Who knows. That could be eight years down the line. I have no idea. It's something in development. Don't you want it to be good? Let's find something good and then we'll do it."
Most Wanted centers on a criminal suspect (Bullock) on the run with an FBI agent (Reynolds) assigned to escort her to court.
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (X17online) - A sequel to Green Lantern will happen, says Warner Bros. studios.
Even though the movie, starring Ryan Reynolds, underperformed at the box office, the studio is not abandoning the franchise. It had a lower opening weekend than expected and has fallen steeply since.
The film also did not fare well with critics.
Green Lantern cost a sizable $200 million to produce, plus a marketing budget.
LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Victoria’s Secret and Sports Illustrated model Marissa Miller has joined the cast of Universal’s R.I.P.D., starring Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges.
Based on the comic by Peter M. Lenkov., R.I.P.D. stars Reynolds as a murdered cop who is recruited to work in a police division made up of ghosts, known as the Rest In Peace Department. Bridges will play Reynolds’ police partner and Miller will be his human avatar.
Though this will be Miller’s debut film performance, she has made multiple television appearances on Entourage, Gary Unmarried, and How I Met Your Mother.
Miller, a former Victoria’s Secret Angel and 2008 SI Swimsuit cover girl, is following in the footsteps of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Brooklyn Decker, who both made model-to-actress transitions this year in major Hollywood flicks - Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Just Go With It, respectively.
R.I.P.D. is scheduled to hit screens June 28, 2013.
