Shia LaBeouf Arrested For DUI, Still At The Hospital

Shia LaBeouf ShiaLabeouf032908.jpg LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Shia LaBeouf was arrested on suspicion of DUI after his vehicle collided with another vehicle at the corner of La Brea and Fountain in Hollywood around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Sergeant Wolf of the West Hollywood Police Department told X17online on Sunday morning that LaBeouf "has been charged with a DUI as he exhibited outward signs of intoxication" at the scene. Additionally, LaBeouf sustained a "minor head injury" as well as injuries to his left hand, and was immediately taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center, along with his passenger and the driver of the other vehicle.

Wolf added that he is not sure if the Transformers star will be charged with a felony or a misdemeanor, and that no booking photo was taken, as the actor went directly to the hospital for medial help. LaBeouf remains in the hospital, and his publicist issued the following statement:

"Attorneys for Mr. LaBeouf confirm that an automobile accident involving an additional party occurred early morning in Los Angeles on July 27, 2008. Shia is currently recovering from extensive hand surgery with plans to return to work on the set of Transformers 2 within one month. No further comment will be issued at this time. "

Shia LaBeouf's Passenger Was Adrian Grenier's Girlfriend, Isabel Lucas

Shia LaBeouf HPANETTIERE102907.jpg LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Australian actress Isabel Lucas was in the passenger seat of Shia LaBeouf's Ford F150 when it collided with another vehicle and flipped over early Sunday morning, according to the NY Daily News. Lucas, 23, who is LaBeouf's co-star in Transformers 2, has been dating actor Adrian Grenier for several months.

A source working on the film told NY Daily News, "She [Lucas] was in the car....They're friends." The source added that the two have been working late nights on the set and most likely were together to "let off some professional steam." Lucas sustained minor injuries from the crash, and was treated and released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Sunday. The source said Lucas would return to the set on Monday, but that movie production will work around the estimated month LaBeouf needs to recover from his "extensive" hand surgery.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's department charged LaBeouf, 22, with a misdemeanor DUI, and the actor could face another misdemeanor charge depending on the results of his blood-alcohol test.

In a recent Details interview, LaBeouf discussed his struggles with alcohol as well as his family's predisposition for addiction. LaBeouf also told the magazine, "I don't know how to have one drink," and revealed that his father is a former heroin addict, and that father and son "would drink together and smoke together."

Shia LaBeouf's Injury Delaying Production Of Transformers 2

Shia LaBeouf ShiaLabeouf03298.jpg LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Shia LaBeouf's hand injury, which came as the result of a car accident last weekend, has slowed down production for Transformers 2, according to Variety.

LaBeouf's publicist told X17online the actor "plans to return to work on the set of Transformers 2 within one month," and though a Dreamworks insider told Variety there was no work stoppage, an inside source revealed that two days of filming were lost on the high-budget motion picture. Additionally, scenes featuring co-star Josh Duhamel had to be moved to this week to work around LaBeouf's absence, and another source added, "Everyone had to adjust their schedule."

LaBeouf, 22, was arrested on suspicion of DUI after his Ford F150 collided with another vehicle at the corner of La Brea and Fountain in Hollywood around 2:30 a.m. on July 27. Authorities determined that LaBeouf was not at fault for the accident, as the other driver apparently ran a red light.

Director Michael Bay Speaks Out About Shia LaBeouf's Accident

Shia LaBeouf ShiaLabeouf032.jpg LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen director Michael Bay told Access Hollywood that actor Shia LaBeouf was not drunk last Sunday when he was involved in a car accident that resulted in his Ford F150 being flipped over.

Though it was widely reported that the actor was drunk when police reached the scene of the accident, Bay said, “You’re gonna see - that’s gonna go away. That’s fresh news. He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before.” Authorities have since determined that the 22-year-old actor was not at fault for the crash, as the other driver allegedly ran a red light.

Prior to the crash that occurred on the corner of La Brea and Fountain, LaBeouf was at the Troubadour night club with co-star Isabel Lucas, and an insider for Us Weekly claims the actor was drinking at the venue. “He was dancing around and acting really crazy,” the source told the magazine. “He kept doing shots of whiskey.”

After the incident, LaBeouf was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center where he was treated for a minor head injury and injuries to his left hand. Bay added that he spoke to the actor two days ago and that his current condition may be written into the film's script. “I spoke to him yesterday in the hospital,” Bay said. “His two fingers are pretty mashed, but we’re figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it in the story.”

Owner Of Other Car In Shia LaBeouf Crash Cited

Shia LaBeouf ShiaLabeouf03298.jpg LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The owner of the car that crashed into the Ford F150 driven by actor Shia LaBeouf on July 27 was cited on Friday, according to the Associated Press.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore told reporters yesterday that Simon Herbert, 21, was given a citation after his car failed to stop at a red light. It is still unclear as to whether or not Herbert was actually behind the wheel on the night of the accident.

LaBeouf's hand was smashed when his truck flipped over at the intersection of Fountain and La Brea. The 22-year-old actor spent several days in a hospital and required extensive surgery.

Shia LaBeouf's Driver's License Suspended

Shia LaBeouf ShiaDMV200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Transformers star Shia LaBeouf's driver's license was suspended on Saturday, a result of his refusal to take a Breathalyzer test after his July car accident, E! News reports.

According to California law, your license can be suspended for up to a year if a breath, blood or urine test is refused when an officer suspects you are intoxicated.

Shia's suspension was automatic, even though the actor was cleared of any wrong doing when it was found that the other driver was responsible for the crash at a Hollywood intersection that severely injured his hand.

LaBeouf's attorney didn't comment on the suspension.

Megan Fox Returning For Transformers 3

meganfoxtf3200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Megan Fox and Shia LaBeouf will return for the third installment of the Transformers series, says director Michael Bay.

The filmmaker wrote on his website:

"Well its official: We have a great Transformers 3 story. The release date is now July 1st 2011. Not 2012."

Although Bay doesn't seem too concerned about re-teaming with the woman who called him "Hitler", he does have a warning for her. With tongue planted firmly in cheek, he wrote:

P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your Doctor to determine if this is right for you.

Pain and Gain is right after shooting of Trans 3.

Nice to see he somehow managed to keep his sense of humor!

Injury On The Set Of Transformers 3

duhamel200.jpgHAMMOND, Indiana (X17online) - An extra has been injured on the set of the action movie, Transformers 3. The 24-year-old woman was working on a car stunt at the time of the accident in which she suffered a serious head wound.

The Indiana State Police are now handling the investigation.

According to witnesses, the woman has been identified as Gabriela Cedillo. Reports claim the lady was an extra ... and not a stuntwoman.

A fellow extra had this to say about the incident:

"The vehicle was being towed by another vehicle. The cable between the two vehicles broke. It whipped around and sliced through the woman's car and sliced through her skull, apparently."

None of the major stars were injured in the incident.

Transformers 3 Passes $1 Billion Mark, Brings Paramount To $2 Billion Internationally

Transformers080311_200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Transformers: Dark of the Moon has passed the $1 billion mark.

Paramount Pictures announced Wednesday that the third flick of the franchise was the first in the studio's history - and only the tenth film ever - to reach $1 billion. The movie grossed $338 million domestically through Monday and $663 billion internationally through Tuesday.

Transformers 3 has helped Paramount reach other major milestones this summer as well. The studio passed the $2 billion at the international box office Tuesday, less than two months after they passed the $1 billion mark on June 10. This is the second year in a row that they reached this feat, and they're the first studio to do so in 2011. Last week, the 3D movie became the first Paramount title to cross the $500 million mark at the international box office.
