For the first show on May 2, Winfrey will interview Cruise from his Telluride, Colorado home, and the interview will cover his “family, his life and the future,” Harpo stated. On May 5, Cruise will appear in Winfrey’s Chicago studio.

Cruise and Holmes became parents in April 2006 with the birth of their daughter, Suri, and married in Italy in November 2006.

Tom Cruise Named In Lawsuit Against Church Of Scientology

Tom Cruise TCRUISE062807.jpg LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Actor Tom Cruise, along with dozens of other individuals, have been named in a $250 million federal lawsuit against the Church of Scientology, according to Rush & Molloy of the NY Daily News.

Former Scientologist Peter Letterese filed the lawsuit on July 15 in Southern District Court in Florida, and claims that members of the Church harassed him after he left, among other offenses. Letterese claims that a member of the Church called his attorney and when the attorney's wife answered the phone, the church member said he was her husband's homosexual lover. Letterese calls the church a "crime syndicate" and wants it broken up under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) Law.

Letterese names Cruise in the lawsuit, claiming that Scientology leader David Miscavage is "aided and abetted by the actions of Tom Cruise, his right-hand man for foreign and domestic promotion, as well as for foreign and domestic lobbying. He has assisted the syndicate in acquiring funds and his own donations of money believed to be in the multiple tens of millions of dollars."

A representative for Cruise could not comment, as she had not seen the lawsuit, and Karin Pouw, a spokeswoman for the Church of Scientology, told NY Daily News, "This is a frivolous suit based on falsehoods."

Man Ordered To Stay Away From Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise Cruise200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - A man recently arrested for waving a gun at traffic has been ordered by a judge to stay away from Tom Cruise.

Edward Van Tassel, 28, has been spotted at Cruise's Beverly Hills home trying to deliver a letter.

The order came at a Wednesday hearing where prosecutors were trying to have Van Tassel's bail revoked for leaving a veterans facility where Santa Barbara Superior Court Judge George Eskin believed he would be locked in

A private investigator who works for Cruise told Eskin that Van Tassel was in a different veterans facility than the judge had expected, one where he could leave freely.

The judge did not immediately rule on revoking bail, but said he was leaning toward having Van Tassel returned to jail.

Van Tassel's attorney Robert Landheer told the judge the visits to the Cruise home were not threatening.

"He is not there to stalk Mr. Cruise as some sort of fan-obsessed person," Landheer said. "He wants to enlist him in his mission to get appropriate remedies for soldiers of the Iraq War."

Brad Pitt Calls Tom Cruise's WWII Film 'Ridiculous'

PittCruise200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - What does Brad Pitt think of Tom Cruise's Valkyrie? Not much apparently.

In an interview in the German magazine Stern, Pitt - who is promoting his own Nazi theme movie Inglourious Basterds - was asked what he thought of his friend's film.

"It was a ridiculous movie," Pitt said.

Pitt thinks his own World War II movie sets the bar for films of that genre.

"The second World War could still deliver more stories and films, but I believe that Quentin [Tarantino, director] put a cover on that pot. With Basterds, everything than can be said to this genre has been said," Pitt tells the German magazine Stern. "The film destroys every symbol. The work is done, end of story," Pitt told Stern
