LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Actress Winona Ryder was hospitalized briefly in the UK after becoming ill on a British Airways flight from Los Angeles.

The 37-year-old actress was treated and released at a West London hospital on Wednesday.

The cause or specifics of her illness wasn't revealed.

British Airways told the Associated Press a flight from Los Angeles to Heathrow requested priority landing when a female passenger it did not identify required medical attention.

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Police in Spain are investigating $125,000 in missing designer jewelry last seen on Winona Ryder at an event on Sunday.

The jewelry house, Bulgari, loaned Ryder a bracelet and ring, which she wore to a Marie Claire event in Spain last weekend, but the jewelry is now unaccounted for.

Ryder reportedly left the jewels in her hotel room the morning following the event.

But, when a representative arrived to collect the bracelet and ring, they couldn’t be found.

Police are reportedly reviewing surveillance tape of the hotel, to verify Ryder's story.

Ryder was arrested for shoplifting at Saks Fifth Avenue in 2001, however, police are reportedly not considering the actress a suspect in the case.

NEW YORK, New York (X17online) - James Franco and Winona Ryder will co-star in upcoming drama The Stare; they begin filming in May.

Ryder plays a playwright who might or might not be losing her mind. Franco will portray an actor in her play.

Franco most recently starred on the big screen in Your Highness, and has Rise of the Planet of the Apes out in August. Ryder got attention last year for her role in Black Swan.

Filming begins May 6 in NYC.
