X17 XCLUSIVE - PAP HELD HOSTAGE AND BEATEN BY MONTAGE HOTEL SECURITY!

This is CRAZY, y'all!
Britney headed over to the new Montage Beverly Hills tonight and of course, the paparazzi followed ... but it wasn't business as usual ...
A photographer/reporter who works with X17 decided to leave his camera behind and go inside the hotel to see what Brit was up to - heck, Britney KNOWS the guy and was texting and calling him all last year.
Anyway, as he he looked around, hotel security pulled him aside and asked what he was doing. He told him he was simply checking out the hotel. The two men pulled the photog into a room and proceeded to beat him!!!
In the photographer's own words:
The security staff told the photog THEY were the police and that there was no need to call the cops.
These members of the hotel security also keyed the photographer's car, causing significant damage to it.
The police that responded to the pap's screams then questioned the hotel security about the incident. However, watch commander Officer Balowig at the Beverly Hills PD told X17 moments ago that he is still not familiar with the incident and was not able to give us any information about it, nor any comment.
The Montage Hotel's manager on duty told X17online he would not comment on the incident.
I don't think I'll be visiting this hotel any time soon! I was staying at the Montage Laguna Beach in 2007 on the day there was a double homicide in the room right next door to mine!!!!! And now this!

- "I was attacked by hotel security and kept in a little room for over an hour and my phone was taken away from me when I tried to dial 911. They beat me up and refused to call the paramedics, saying that I was okay. One hour later I heard that there was a cop outside and I screamed to him for help.
