Halle Berry was rushed to Cedars Sinai medical center late last night - around 10pm, after an accident on the set of her upcoming film The Hive, X17online can report exclusively.

The Oscar-winning actress fell or was hit by a falling object, according to different sources on the set, but there were no further details.

An ambulance carried Berry from the downtown LA set to Cedars, and the set was shut down soon thereafter.

The Hive is a thriller co-starring Abigail Breslin and Jennifer Hudson's fiance David Otunga, about an emergency operator who must confront a killer from her past in order to save a young girl's life, according to IMDB.

Calls to Halle's rep have not yet been returned.

UPDATE - Halle was checked and released from the hospital with no serious injuries. Her rep released this statement:

    Halle Berry suffered a minor head injury while shooting a fight sequence on the set of her film, The Hive. She was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but she checked out healthy and was released. She'll continue production as planned.
