Brad Pitt showed off some new ink at his arrival to the Venice Film Festival, on Wednesday. But what we were really looking at is his hot bod, not his new tattoo!

That said, everyone's talking about the new tat, trying to decipher its meaning. It's a human figure with a shadow and some indecipherable script next to it. Some are saying it could be a Benjamin Buttons reference -- and honestly, Brad does seem to be aging in reverse, so there may be some significance there!

As we check out the new ink, we're also looking at all of Brad's previous skin adornments including a long cross on his forearm with the initials of his ex-wife Angelina Jolie and his kids listed around his wrist. And his other forearm, a tattoo of Otzi the Iceman?! In case you don't know what that is (we didn't) it's one of the oldest mummies ever found. Why that?

Brad also has Angelina Jolie's birthdate tattooed on his torso and a set of lines on his back that she drew on him one night and he decided to have permanently inked. God, what the days and nights of Brangelina must have been like!

Pitt's in Venice to promote his new film Ad Astra, a sci-fi thriller in space that follows Roy McBride (Brad Pitt) on a mission across an unforgiving solar system to uncover the truth about his missing father and his doomed expedition that now, 30 years later, threatens the universe.
