Two-months after Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant, daughter Gianna and seven others lost their lives in a tragic helicopter crash, Vanessa Bryant released a tribute video honoring her late husband and daughter. The video is narrated by Kobe as he explains his process of teaching the game of basketball to their 13-year-old daughter.

"She started out playing soccer, which is one of my favorite sports as well. When she asked about learning the game of basketball, I started teaching her piece by piece, and she started enjoying it and loving it and now she plays every day. It’s been a joy to watch her grow and to be there every day for that process. Her temperament is a lot like mine. She’s extremely competitive, very fiery, and backs down from no challenge. She's good mix of me and a good mix of her mama... that makes her even more competitive than I am." The proud father explains in the video.

Kobe's passing whipped the entire sports world into a tailspin. For many, Kobe is easily the biggest NBA icon of his generation and essentially bigger than the game itself. Four weeks following the tragedy, a tribute ceremony was held at the Staples Center in honor of the fallen star. Fans came out in droves to shed tears and share their support to the Bryant family and the Lakers organization. Magic Johnson and Gary Payton were among the former players attending the event.

Kobe is survived by wife Vanessa, 37, and three daughters, Natalia, 17, Bianka, 3, and Capri, 9-months. At his memorial service, Vanessa delivered a very heartfelt eulogy, telling the crowd, "They were so easy to love. They were funny, happy, silly, and they loved life. They were so full of joy and adventure. God knew they couldn’t be on this earth without each other. He had to bring them home to have them together." Our hearts go out to the Bryant family as they continue to mend their broken hearts.
